**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

:(:(

He's not looked very good when I've seen him.

Is he any good ? :(
He's quick and he's a half decent finisher but he doesn't appear to be that great positionally. Having said that he's never been given a run of games and he's still young so it's hard to tell how good or bad he'll turn out to be.

Hmmm :(

sounds better then average, will look forward to seeing him play if the rumors are true, will be nice to have some more real pace up top, and a fit striker. (back to last season :o)

I'll report back after I've seen enough of him (if rumors true) to have an opinion on him.

He's OK but not spectacular; I kind of hope that Rafa does a Wenger and plays a few youngsters such as him and Spearing through the course of the league cup. We're clearly short on cash, and there's no reason why Ngog can't be a premiership quality striker within a year or two if Rafa develops him properly.

Hmmm not sounding good on the money side of things, but I shouldn't be surprised really with those smelly yanks in charge.

Overall a resoundingly poor summer for us. Not enough added quality and very poor prep for the season.

I really dont want to sound pessimistic, as its easy to be so after the summer we've had, but unless we find that form and team spirit that we had at the end of last season, I dont see us winning anything and we'll struggle to get third.

Looks like the next signings for Fulham are Jonathan Greening, Kagiso Dikgacoi, and Kalu Uche, or something. Be a decent lot of backup/competition!

SkySports and the BBC have confirmed what I already knew, Salgado has joined Blackburn. A guy on the 606 forums spotted him leaving Ewood Park last night so i'm guessing the deal was finalised then. Should give us a bit more experience at the back, whilst also being a player the youngsters can look up to.

Good signing from Sam and before anyone starts with the wages carp that is usually attributed to the man our board want to reduce wages, Allardyce has already admitted its meant he couldn't bring in some of the players he wanted to.

I'm just hoping this move doesn't pave the way for a Warnock to Villa deal. He's been one of our best and most consistent players since joining the club and i'd hate to see him go.

Everton boss David Moyes is set to make a £12 million double raid for Tottenham midfielder David Bentley and defender Alan Hutton.
Raid is understatement :D That's a massive loss as far as the books are concerned!

They might get Hutton for £12m, Bentley would take £15m. So more like £27m for both! Personally I'd like both players to stay, don't think Spurs are going to be playing enough games to keep our squad happy though unless we have some success this season. Success meaning either a cup or breaking the top 4. Our away form will need to show a marked improvement though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see both start against Hull. :)

I thought Jenas was nailed on to go to Villa but they got a cheaper, better, younger version in Delph.
