**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Probably lots of media speculation rather than truths, BUT...very interesting all the same. IF Benitez was to walk, I wonder who would be the replacement. I would like Mourinho, but I think he has his sights solely on Utd after Ferguson goes and wouldnt take on Liverpool. Other options...hmm..Dalglish back (I'd accept that), Van Basten (I'd accept that), Bilic (hmm...would have reservations..but I would accept it), Guardiola (still relatively unproven, but I would certainly be intrigued), O'neill (I'd accept that, although his style doesnt really sit well with me)
 
Problem for any big club looking to bring a new manager in at the moment is that most of the big names will already have made their moves earlier in the summer. With the World Cup coming up at the end of the season, most international managers (e.g. Hiddink) will be unavailable too. Add to that the fact that the transfer window slams shut in less than 2 weeks time and it wouldn't give any new manager much time for any wheeling and dealing.

But anyway, if Benitez were to leave Liverpool I'd have thought Klinsmann would fit the bill.... 'big name' in football (albeit not management as yet), good standard of English, knowledge of the Premiership, lives in the same country as the owners, and there were rumours a while back of him being lined up as a possible replacement. Not saying I think he would be a good choice of manager, just that I could see it happening.
 
Well I think we can put the Aguero to Chelsea/Utd/Liverpool rumour given he played for At. Madrid tonight
