Nothing to do with the fact the whole thing was probably made up to sell papers ;)

Even with the purchase of Johnson and Aquilani we should have a lot more to spend than the few million we seem to have left.

You are heavily in debt, you cannot expect to be spending more than you are bringing in. If you want to sell the club onto someone with better funding you need to control that debt for now.

Fans have to realise some of that money has to go to helping the debt.

I get tired of hearing fans say stuff like, we got 30 million for A and 6 million for B so we have 36 million to spend plus the usual 20 million.

You will never see all that Alonso money, Just like we never saw half the Rooney money and Manu will not see half the ronaldo money spent.

Anyway 30 million for lescott, I will piggyback him to city.

Just seen that Inter have had a bid of around £15m accepted for Sneijder. Why on earth aren't the big English sides going after him? He is an absolutely superb footballer and at that price an absolute bargain. I'd say its more of a bargain than Van Der Vaart as he has a bit more about him physically.

I think technically the Alonso money has all been spent, we just havent had any extra transfer budget so far. Guess we'll see come the end of the window.

08.26 Wesley Sneijder's agent has claimed the Real Madrid midfielder is considering a move to Inter Milan after the two clubs agreed a 15 million euros fee for the Holland international.

So thats what...10 million for Van Der Vaart and 12 million quid for Sneijder?

ABSOLUTE BARGAINS. Van der Vaart + Sneijder for 22 million. Really highlights just how overpriced so many other players have been this summer
