Doesn't look like there's been any major development on the Charlie Adam deal. Doubt they'll be talking on a Sunday so looks like it'll drag on to another week. Bummer.

Fulham linked to Keane and Jenas

Good thing is, most likely won't sign Keane, as Jol said he wants to build a 'younger' team. Jenas would be OK, but isn't he on relatively high wages?

Would much rather sign Krancjar from Spurs than any of the others. Murphy replacement is top priority imo.

Jenas wouldn't be too far away from a Murphy replacement if he got a regular place. Unsure of Jenas' wages but it certainly wasn't at the top of our structure so will be well below £80k, likely £50-60k, and considering his place in our squad, he should be open to it coming down further.

EDIT: Have seen £70k mentioned which seems high for him.

Yeah, I seem to remember him actually being one of your highest - which was why a lot didn't like him. He won't get near £50k I imagine from us, that's our highest wages ever and that's Zamora.

Fulham really need to get signing players though, we've released about 5-7 players, and our first competitive game of the season is next Thursday! Not got the numbers to play if we don't sign a few soon, especially as some of our squad are still playing internationals :(

Well Keane has a clause in his contract that his wages would match those of our highest earner, so unless that was taken out recently, either Fulham are contemplating a change in the wage structure, both players are open to wage drops, or the links are entirely fabricated.

I'm guessing the latter. :p

Yeah, I assume so too. All we've been linked to are Jol's ex players, although I'd definitely take a couple!

We're being quite heavily linked with El Hamadoui (sp) as Ajax are pretty sick of him apparently. Jol wants as many players signed as we let go, which is probably at least 5-6 players - and said he wants to sign more 'like' Dembele, so thats meaning young/exciting I imagine. Probably end up signing DJ Campbell though :(

Should mention, I guess our wage structure will take a bigger hit this season anyway, we've released some big wages in Gera/Pantsil/Kamara/E Johnson etc leaving, thats probably about £80-90k/week or so.

The club source that I've mentioned before as being the only one I consider trustworthy has just said that Forlan and (get this) Eto'o are at Spurs Lodge.

I'm not sure if that has got me excited or has made him lose a bit of credibility...

Forlan and Eto'o would make Spurs pretty badass (if they keep Modric and Bale).

It would mean there are a good few teams fighting for CL spots instead of four or five like always.

In regards to the "president of Palermo" saying that Alvarez has already signed for us, I believe that's a misquote and that he'd said something else, but was reported as saying he's signed for Arsenal. Also I think it was a while back and not that recent?

Thiago Alcantara just scored a lol goal in the U21 final - that's the lad Arsenal have been linked with (in a player + cash deal for Fabregas), right?

Barca would be insane to sell him based on this tournament, he's looked class.

Oh and United have matched Spurs valuation of Modric (35m) and will sign him bar any hiccups....
