Finally we have someone on the inside of the club!....

I would be utterly shocked if we sign Young - shocked and very underwhelmed

As for Costa I'd much prefer Sanchez tbh

Inside of the club?

It was widely reported who the targets were whether you are under, over or any other sort of whelmed by them!

I think Young would step up at United TBH.

I think Rodwell would be a fixture for the next decade and Everton are in no position to refuse a decent offer. He is a bit like Adam Johnson in so far as as soon as he makes a move his value will shoot up and he will suddenly find himself in the England team.

So that makes it fact then does it? It was also widely reported that we had a bid accepted for Sanchez, it was widely reported that Houllier confirmed that no interest was shown in Young from anyone and over the last week it's been widely reported that Moyes has confirmed that no deal is in place to take Rodwell to United

We will not be signing Ashley Young, Rodwell is a maybe but given his injuries and lack of playing time for Everton I wouldn't see him as a priority in the summer.

Ironically for someone claiming nothing is fact you seem very sure of yourself.

"We will not be signing Ashley Young"

Good to have someone on the inside of the club eh?

I'm sure of myself because Ashely Young is simply not good enough to play for Man Utd nor does the club need a winger thats not better than what we already have

That is nothing more than your opinion.

My opinion is that Bebe is nowhere near good enough to play for Manchester United.

That opinion didnt have much impact on whether we signed him.

1- find anyone that thinks Young is better than Nani or Valencia
2- you watched a lot of Bebe before we signed him did you?

Bebe was brought in with a view to the future, obviously he's never going to be good enough but that signing is hardly comparable with signing Ashley Young for over 20m

You can choose to argue the toss with me all you want but you're the one that was so sure of who we were trying to sign I'm simply saying who we don't need/nor is better than what we already have.

i believe he will go this summer but to who arsenal?
I don't think he is as bad as Torres and pretty sure he wouldn't go to the Mancs, though his 'never swear eternal love' interview has me a bit worried but he seems like a top genuine bloke, nice that he's actually being honest rather than Torres 'i'll never join another english club' 9months later he finishes that interview 'unless we encounter some difficulty'.

Tbh it really didnt bother me in the slightest when Owen left, he was never a Fowler or a Rush in my eyes. Torres I didnt mind leaving either (though I was rather annoyed at the timing of his departure). Would be really sorry to see Reina go though, because I just dont think there are too many top keepers available to replace him with.

I reckon the only chance we have of keeping hold of him is to finish 5th and at least offer him some form of european competition next year. Its a long shot, but still achievable, Spurs are 7 ahead at the moment, beat Sunderland tomorrow and thats 4 ahead and we still have to play spurs yet, so win that and we are 1 pt behind them (with Spurs still to play Man City away, Arsenal and Chelsea away on the run in). On top of that I really think spurs are wobbling in the league and could see us catching them if, IF, we can go on a run over the next several games.

Reina is just such a top bloke, granted we can't see him spitting the dummy out like Torres did all the time but it is the way you see him embrace the people of Liverpool.
I don't know, i want him to be our captain for next 10 year when Stevie goes, Torres or Owen never had anything like that.

I AM sure of who we were trying to sign based on the fact that it was players we were trying to sign. Whether i think they are good bad or indifferent is completely irrelevant to whether we were trying to sign them or not. I dont get much input into the transfer activity at Old Trafford.

I suspect you dont either.

I totally respect your opinion that Ashley Young isnt good enough to play for Man Utd. I disagree, but i respect your opinion and im sure you can back it up with numerous resasons.

What i dont respect is the idea that because you dont think he is good enough he will not be signed.

I also woundnt get Nanis name and number on a shirt for next season but i would hate to claim that saying so gives me some great insider knowledge.

If Man Utd were able to sign Costa, Rodwell and Young for next season plus the obvious Henderson/Welbeck deal and the return of Cleverley, i would take that against the lack of spending of Wenger, the chronic overspending of City and the pursuit of Kaka at Chelsea.

.

Im not convinced either way about Young (as you said, Sanchez would be much better) but no way will Young cost anything like £20m let alone more with only 12 months left on his current deal

Im more certain that Henderson will not come to Utd than I am that Rodwell wont leave Everton (Everton desperately need cash, but even so as mentioned previously this hasnt been Rodwell's best season due to injuries etc so I think he could remain there for a while yet)

Yes, it was a joke. Frank has some sort of mental block when it comes to Nani and you appear to also. I think the guy is a **** but imo, he's possibly been your best player this season.

Ah ok.

Rafael, Berbatov, Smalling, Hernandez, VDS, Vidic.

They have all been better than Nani this season.

....in your opinion :)

I wouldn't say Rafael, Smalling or VDS have been nearly as good as Nani this season. I'd argue that even Berbatov (despite his goals) and Hernandez (mainly due to being in and out the side) haven't been as consistent as Nani has been.

Vidic is the only 1 I'd mention alongside Nani on this seasons form.
