Kalou might be a possibility as we were linked with him a couple of years back, and the player has come out in the past saying how much he admires Wenger and wants to play for him.
I still think it would be a waste of money, there are other positions that need strengthening much more.

I'm getting increasingly concerned about the fact we haven't sold Almunia yet, he must be on massive wages (at least £40,000 a week) as he was #1 for a couple of years, yet nowadays he doesn't even seem to be second choice so at his age there is absolutely NO reason in keeping hold of him.

Possibly because no one wants Almunia?? so kinda hard to get shot of him...also heard Stoke have ended interest in the worlds best striker Bendtner:p...maybe not such a bad thing as once the ACON starts we lose a few strikers so having Bender around for backup isnt the end of the world.

Not sure on Benayoun tbh...havent seen much of him play but when i have, i havent been all that interested.

Have we completely lost interest in Hazard and the other French guy M'Vila now??.

Seems West Ham have signed Lansbury on a season's loan, busy day for Arsenal.

As for Bendtner to Stoke I think if that was gonna happen it would have been a couple of weeks ago, he was deliberately left out of squads in preseason despite not being injured, they were rumoured to be willing to pay £8m for him, but he's subsequently been brought back into the fold.

Still, here's hoping.

But if no one will cover his wages even if he is 'sold' on a free transfer he won't/can't leave.

Loan of Royston Drenthe to Everton seems to be gathering some pace.

Some more news now, it's being reported that Real Madrid are willing to tear up his contract and allow him to sign for us on a free!!

 :D

edit----->

Where is Talbs at any way? :D

Mertersacker has signed a 4 year contract at Arsenal.

Where? It's not been confirmed. Stop making **** up! It's not been confirmed.

It's been done, believe me. It's confirmed by me.

Smalltime City, again..

You dont really think that is real?
:o

Regardless of whether Liverpool have first refusal or not, after Arsenal hijacking Lille's deal for Park and us kindly loaning them the genius that is Joe Cole, I'm sure relations between Liverpool and Lille are better than they are between Arsenal and Lille :p

Hijacking Park deal vs forcing Cole on them.

Probably about evens :D

He's not their first choice afaik, he played most of his games in the build up to the world cup, and the confed cup, but didn't play in the world cup. I think he was seen as marginally better than, whoever the heck was there before, Kleber and someone, but Gilberto has played there a couple times(not Silva, the other one) and another guy. He's backup, and their first team left back isn't very good to start with.

I'm not convinced, the guy is 28, made most of his international appearances in the confed cup and around it, he plays for Fenerbahce which..... lets face it isn't where most quality players end up unless they are 33+ and looking for a pay day.

First choice left back for Brazil is Bastos really, and he plays for Lille so we had little chance of getting him :p Really Gervinho hasn't impressed and we should have bought a real out and out winger, bought Hazard and Bastos, or frankly Everton in so much financial strife, Baines for 10-12mil.

he "could" be great, he might not be very good at all. He should be available a lot more than Gibbs and Traore/Gibbs can't defend at all, so he's still likely an improvement. Only worry is with Fenerbahce being high wage type club, he might end up not very good and on a very high wage(for us).

ever since the world cup santos has been the first choice left back for brazil over marcelo.

i dont think hes missed an international game.

He can also play as a left winger so could be useful if we get more injuries
