How Pardew didn't have two deals going for a striker I don't know, epic failure. You have two deals, you have both ready for a simple signature, one falls through, you sign the other one before the deadline, job done.
Even Wenger managed that, Cahill not working, Mertesacker, no Arteta, Benny's ready to go.
