:D

£90mill incl add ons for Lukaku  transfer fees have gone crazy stupid this season.

Arsenal just spunked £52mill inc add ons for Lacazette and now 90mill for Lukaku lol.

Lukaku is good but not sure if he's 90mill worth though.

£90m is a HUGE amount of money  I wasn't expecting us to pay that much for him. Briefly discussed it with a liverpool supporter yesterday. He's relatively young, has been consistently scoring goals in the PL for the last few years which I think is a bigger positive than it may seem.... but still, such a huge amount. Let's bloody hope he's worth it.

Also, someone posted it further up but it didn't get much coverage. Ruben neves to Wolves?! Have none of the top clubs played Fifa or Football Manager? :p Potentially one of the most well-rounded mid-fielders. ;) Never seen him play, but hey, bit of a coup for them :p

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku was arrested in Los Angeles last week following a noise complaint - and will appear in a US court on 2 October.

:p

This Neves transfer reminds me a lot of Tevez and Mascherano signing for West Ham. Tevez and Masch ended up at West Ham because nobody was prepared sign them straight out of South America for the huge fees their owners were demanding. By sending them to West Ham it was almost a demonstration of their ability and proof that they could cut it in Europe. It worked too as both players got their moves and for the big money their owners wanted.

Neves has been touted about and linked with huge money moves to a top side for the past couple of years but nobody was willing to pay up for him. Sending him to Wolves works for everyone - Wolves get a top prospect for a relatively small fee, Neves is put in the shop window and Mendes has a chance of making a killing from a possible big money deal in a year or so's time.

anyone seen lukaku holding up a united shirt yet?

I bet he holds the shirt up better than he does the ball.

Are any Everton fans even happy about it?

I'd be happier if they brought Cahill back at 50, than Rooney. It's about the worst transfer I can remember since Moyes signed Per Kroldrop. I don't care if he's free, I don't care if we are only paying 50k of whatever he gets as a wage, I'd rather he didn't come.

quite happy with our(leicester) dealings at the minute buying where we need , think harry maguire was a decent buy and spurs wanted him also and then bringing in vincente iborra (seville captain and man mountain) and it looks like we are about to seal the deal for iheanacho from man city . i would be well happy if we manage to grab him although man city have insisted on a buy back clause and it looks like he could cost us 25 million which is a lot for someone whos not proven but has bags of potential. him and vardy could form a decent partneship.

outgoings

still think mahrez will leave but if his big move dosent come off and he has to stay and get his form back thats only a bonus for us.

musa will be off to turkey and mendy back to france , also ulloa i think will head to spain

ones that might leave and suprise a few

slimani , i love the guy and he hasnt had a proper run due to injury but hes best mates with mahrez so can see him leaving
drinkwater , got a feeling he will go ,hes not said much and seemed angry a lot last season
morgan, still think newcastle bound

hoping we can forget last season and push for top 10 or even top 7 :)

different sites seem to be giving different answers - but the consensus seems to be that in 2004 the EPL gave out approx £25m to the winners , and going down from there and Rooney cost £27m or so.

This year Chelsea got £150m and Lukaku cost £75m + add ons

All the figures are gigantic granted, but comparatively doesnt that make Lukaku a lot cheaper than Rooney @ 18?

(of course Lukaku is less skillful than Rooney @ 18 also - but given the craziness of the transfers over the last year or two , the price isnt anything to get worked up about)

Look. We're still babysitting Fellaini. You owe us.

Fair point. It's still utterly staggering we made a profit on him let alone sold him to a top four club. Then again it doesn't look like the club are keen to offload him either which is probably even more out of this world.
