Summer Transfer Window 2021/2022

It's not which "two" is better because the Arsenal pairing is only 1.8 players on average when you take Xhaka's red cards and suspensions into consideration.
Notwithstanding the correct double-pivot pairing would be Torreira and Partey in any case but sadly the former has yet again been loaned out.

re xhaka true if only the interational xhaka would turn up for Arsenal but they have more number 6 then we do.

Bellerin to Betis on loan, no doubt there's an option to buy and he'll be gone come next summer.

Probably my favourite arsenal player in recent times but he hasn't been the same since he done his ACL, best of luck to him.

Edit: Tomiyasu also confirmed, anyone that keeps Chambers out the side is an upgrade. Not keen on him wearing the 18 though.

Looking at their squad they can still put together something half respectable, but for whatever reason seem to keep playing the likes of Brathwaite over Dembele and Coutinho. I get that they want to ship those players out but if you can't you may as well use them. It's mad.

Ter Stegen

Roberto-Garcia-Pique-Alba

Pedri-Busquets-de Jong

Dembele-Memphis-Coutinho

Is not exactly a terrible team.

They need those players gone, if they play and get injured barca are stuffed.

Not a terrible team but that's a poor barca team, I can't imagine their fans will be pleased. That's probably the hardest part other than the debt, managing fan expectations. If they were sensible they'd move away from buying big names and put together a team that functions, there's no reason they can't dominate again but it's problematic with the fans expecting big name signings.

The pace of international football means Xhaka has more time and space to work with, and consequently that makes him look like a decent player. He probably would have been decent for Roma if he’d have gone but in the PL he gets neither time nor space, is rushed and then makes mistakes or rash-decisions and or is too slow to react when he does have the ball and slows our attacking game right down.

For the one rocket he scores every season he’s not worth it - one of the Wenger buys that needs to be moved on… and yet here he still is.

I'm happy with Leeds getting Dan James and loaning out Costa. I'm thinking Bielsa is going to play Rapa through the middle and Harrison and James either side or just rotate all 3 up top with Bam Bam at the point.

Looking through the deadline day signings this morning Everton sticks out to me. 1.7m spent in the whole transfer window. Considering what they have spent the last few years it makes absolute sense and will highlight nicely that you can spend £200m and finish 8-10th or spend next to nothing and still do the same for a club of their size. I wonder what finances Rafa was told were available? That's by far the lowest spend this window, I'm guessing.

I remember back in the 90s when Barca were like 'we don't need sponsor on our shirts, we're the richest club in the world'. Sad to see them in this state, they used to be my fave team outside the PL until few years ago.

As united fan I'm quite happy with the transfers in, shame we couldn't get rid of some of the older players, but at least they're there as back up if needed due to injuries.

They’ve spent years picking off other clubs best talent only for it to bite them in the arse. Cry me a river.
