It doesn't matter if he relies on pace or not if he's out with ankle ligament damage for 5 months. Kane's not relied on pace up until this point and it's not stopped him regularly picking up injuries and in particular picking up ankle injuries. The fact that he's picked up the same injury so many times shows that previous injuries have already taken their toll on his body and he's more susceptible to picking up repeat injuries. Who knows, maybe these injuries won't become more frequent or more serious, maybe he'll never have another ankle injury again. I find that doubtful though.Different types of striker. Owen and Torres were deadly finishers but relied heavily on their pace. Once injuries caught up with them, and their pace went, they weren't left with much. RVP had far more to his game and was still banging them in for Feyenoord at 35.
The likes of Kane and Lewandowski might not be graced with pace but they do have the size and strength, as well as world class finishing, which means injuries should impact their game less. I personally expect Kane to be banging them in at the highest level until his mid thirties, unless his legs completely fall off.
