I don't really understand this. Ok so Ronaldo is a freak in terms of his physical being but I don't see how this signing makes any sense when you are building a team to contend in the future. Of course there is a spin off in terms of experience, mentality and shirt sales but where does this player fit into any system. Is it just a case of, he's that good that he makes any team a contender? He's going to want to play every week so where does he play? I can only think that this OGS thinks this is a shortcut to success and the board think its a commercial goldmine?

It cost us 25 million to sign him. Guaranteed 20+ goals for a season. We are lacking in strikers. All great Man Utd teams have been all about mixing young academy players with veterans. We had a spineless system. Now we have great leaders in Rashford, Maguire, Fernandes and Ronaldo.

Ronaldo will go straight down the middle. Rashford on the left and Sancho on the right. Greenwood to filter between them all and Martial as backup on the left hand side. Cavani to rotate with Ronaldo. Ronaldo was never the center of attention at United and he will realise that coming back. He will understand the ethos of the club.

The only downside I see to this is game time for Greenwood but he still only 20 years old.

Value of Man UTD on the New York stock exchange has gone up 130+ million. LOL.

You do realise who we are signing right. This isn't the gawky teenager that we bought 18 years ago. He has a huuuuuge ego and the world for the most part does revolve around him. He will 100% be the centre of attention and he is very likely to dictate how we play, who plays and how we do this season.

City signing Ronaldo never made any sense. If there's a player on the planet so far away from what Pep wants in his players then it's Ronaldo. The only way I could make sense of the link was that Abu Dhabi wanted to make a big statement signing on the back of Qatar getting Messi.
