Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Why you talking about mbappe the debate was whether mane is the overall better player over salah
Because you, laughably, tried to justify your point by saying Bayern are in for Mane and not Salah. If Bayern's interest in a player is a measure of how good they are you must therefore think Mane's better than every other forward on the planet as they've gone for him and not x.

No i didnt i already told you why mane is a better player, you dont like it when people have a different view and you go on the attack youve always been the same

LOL you literally did. Your memory cannot be that bad.

And going on the attack? This is a discussion forum, you made a point that I didn't agree with and I've argued against it - that's how forums work. You're being defensive now because you've made a silly remark about Bayern not being in for Salah, which multiple people have pointed out.

You think Mane is better, I don't. The only area of Mane's game that you could put above Salah's was work rate and the defensive side of his game but Mane's not been capable doing that and still being a top forward for a while now, which is why we brought Diaz in to play in his position.

Had my issues with Mane on and off over the years but he was the catalyst signing that got the ball rolling and he's overall been very good for us, however there's no doubt in my mind that he is one of those players that we've definitely had the best years out of, he's only going downhill from here on in so I cant grumble about that really. We've had the best of Mane and now we've moved him on with a little bit of coin before he went next year for nothing. Best of luck to him in the Bundesliga but I think he will look back at the end of his career and say he had the best times at Liverpool.

Liverpool had "too many" forwards so makes sense to me rather than giving him a silly contract or letting him walk for free next summer.
Mane, Salah, Firmino all in 30s so best to start weaning off them gradually and giving more opportunities to Nunez, Diaz, Jota.

Is it a given that Saliba stays? I know there's been comments from him (and Arteta?) about returning but didn't he leave on bad terms? The one thing I've been most impressed with from Arteta is his unwillingness to tolerate egos and troublemakers, even weakening the side in the short term if needed.

How many times does FDJ have to say he's happy at Barca until United walk away?

He must have agreed to join at least in principle for us to be in this situation. Ten Hag will be a factor. Barca still need funds/to reduce the wage bill and he's the easiest asset for them to sell.

From what Saliba said i thought it was. He can't be worse as backup that Holding so looks like a no brainer to me.

Gonna give them the benefit of the doubt here, as @Flaevius pointed out we do need to actually build a squad, we relied so heavily on the same XI last season it all went to pot when they eventually started picking up injuries. This one has come out of nowhere so I hope it's a sign that there's more to come that haven't been rumoured yet.

It would be interesting to see what happens re Tavares, confidence must be shot and he looks way too raw for the level we want to be at so maybe this signing (i know he's a CB but he plays LB pretty well according to ajax twitter) is covering for his temporary departure. Tierney has a worrying injury record and it doesn't matter how good the rest of the team are when we've got Tavares back there doing what he does. Also adds some healthy competition for places, although the money being spent on 'back ups' is way more than I thought.

LB: Tierney, Tavares, (Martinez)
LCB: Gabriel, Martinez, Holding
RCB: White, Saliba, (Tomiyasu)
RB: Tomiyasu, Soares, (White)

^I imagine we'd be very open to letting Holding leave.

If we can land Jesus and the Tielemans links are real then that's not a bad squad to push for CL... now if only we can convince someone to pay £50mil+ for Pepe :o

He might be interested but if hes itching for a move he doesnt say what he's saying. He stays quiet. He's clearly happy where he is and isnt desperate for the move so move on.
