Summer Transfer Window 23/24

It was a deepfake, Mason is just a very misunderstood gentleman who had a rough childhood like most players from a similar background. Give him a break.
You jeat but most rapists are troubled people aren't they? I mean you'd have to be pretty crazy to even consider it.

My original point said 'probably par for the course' at no point did I say all footballers are rapists.

I showed you other examples to show that clearly other footballers get up to dodgy stuff, and adds some weight to my comment that things like this do happen in football (and elsewhere of course) I wonder how much of it we don't hear about (just like normal life).

Either way he wasn't found guilty and is a free man as it stands.
I know what your original post said and the definition of 'par for the course' is, what is to be expected. Footballers are not expected to be accused of rape. It is not par for the course, as you said.

Maybe, but then most troubled people don't rape or commit assault. There are loads of footballers who had a crap upbringing and the majority of them don't go on to take it out on others.

The rates likely aren't much different to general society, you just hear about these cases more as they aren't going to fly under the radar.

If I was a world class footballer I would also have sex in front of my mates filming it. It's the only way to prove it was consensual ;) It must be an absolute horror show to find someone half genuine when you are already worth millions at 18. I know the clubs do so much more work with them to try to educate them about this stuff but I think back to when I was 18 and if I would be knocking back every Love Island wanna be that was stunning and looking for a free ride (financially).

The Greenwood one reminds me of Ray Rice when he punched his Mrs in an elevator and she still didn't leave the pay check. She took him back after that, but at least he never got to play again.

I replied to the term 'domestic abuse', not rape specifically.

Anyway, shall we agree to leave it at that.

Celebrities (which they are in this day and age) being in the news is nothing new nor unique to footballers.

That was the point. You're not going to know about every sexual assault or rape in your area. But you'll definitely know if a Premier League footballer is involved.

I think it's a myth that footballers are somehow more likely to be involved in this sort of thing, and using phrases like "par for the course" is quite dangerous.

Back to transfers, what's the latest re:Wham trying to pull United's pants down?
Hmm not sure, sounds like its just careless whispers to me. Not sure that they have the freedom to be obstructive about it, its not like they are a group of young guns or bad boys. Even if the transfer doesnt happen they might still reach the edge of heaven or at least be no worse than where they were last christmas

Looks like Munich are going back for Kane, think they'll offer what's being asked this time and go for it.

The press seem to think Bayern will make another bid, but it won't be enough and Kane will stay.

£100m~ is a lot when he can sign a pre-contract with them in January.

The guy who runs the Brentford forum and is very much ITK has said the fee begins with a 3. That's good enough for me.

I wonder if Blackburn have a sell-on.

That's a good point, I suppose it depends how desperate they are.
Seems madness on spurs part to me, they will likely not win anything or finish top 4 with him so to let him walk for nothing next year is bonkers. Surely they would be better off taking close to 100m and looking to go again instead of trying to replace one of Europe’s best strikers without that money in the bank. Kane would be better of staying he will pocket a killer signing on fee as a Bosman and if he goes to Bayern or Madrid will still have plenty of time to add some medals.
