Of course she wouldn't. You wouldn't want to deal with all the press and anyone who thinks he is a scumbag rapist wouldn't change their mind as this thread shows. I know my feelings on the matter but very few people will have their minds changed on this no matter who comes out and says what. People would just say "shes been pressured" and other such things. Very little benefit and huge potential for making it worse. All its likely to do is bring it back into the public eye.

Yeah, theres no real rhyme or reason to how these things play out. Its all a bit of a mess. This wouldn't even be a story if it wasn't for the recording she made public. Thats the difference. People can largely ignore the other incidents as they aren't quite so....real.

Personally I would be surprised if he ever wears the United shirt again but who knows.
 
My god! I can see the headlines now should an attempt at dribbling lead to a goal against. :rolleyes: The game has moved on, but he doesn’t look anywhere near as composed as Ederson or Alisson
 
If you do anything like that regularly enough you will get caught up. I'm sure EtH will have words if he starts doing it at the wrong time. Its not really that useful and you don't need to do it. Its showing off for the most part.

I don't mean publicly now, I mean when it happened. She could have put that all to bed when it broke if it was some big misunderstanding. I was saying that in response to someone saying it was some of of consensual sex game. If that's what it was and you intended to stay with that person you would come clean about that, rather than everyone think your husband and kids father was a rapist.
 
No one thinks he’s a rapist as there is no proof in the slightest. A scumbag is fair enough, a young man in need of a harsh life lesson, absolutely. Everything else is just an overly emotional reaction to an small audio clip.

Ahh OK. Yes, if she had come straight out it would probably be a different matter. There would always be a few that didn't buy it but most would.

I think there are loads of people who think hes a woman beating rapist. The audio suggests exactly that.

What you believe and what is fact is vastly different. I’ve heard the tape also and you are factually wrong. No rape was recorded, no beating was recorded, at best it is verbal abuse.

Emotions often get the better of people. I’m talking as someone who has lived in an abusive home and witnessed their mum being physically, mentally and emotionally abused. What you think and what you know is 2 different things.
 
I totally get why people see Greenwood as a deeply unpleasant individual, but that audio recording alone does not prove a criminal act took place. Only the police know the full circumstances around it.

I don't think many are saying its proof. If it was he would be behind bars right now. By all accounts the police simply didn't have enough evidence to prosecute, in large part due to no one involved being willing to testify.

Its enough for most people to make up their minds though and the court of public opinion is quite strong in a public facing sport like football.
