Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Hes supposedly rejected a 200k deal at chelsea as it was too low.

If he thinks he is worth 200k a week then forget him. They do not call it silly season for nothing. Every man and his dog getting linked to United. I think if DVB never got injured there wouldn't even be a discussion about a midfielder.

If we can get Harry Kane and get rid of Maguire I would be more than happy with that. Especially considering the whole ownership fiasco that is going on.

That Kim-Min-Jae fella looks mighty impressive as well.

DVB was ineffective way before any of his injuries. He had the impact of a wet fish.

Newcastle looks a more attractive proposition atm.
Arsenal had a long term interest in the lad I believe. He has stated he wants champions league football next season.

If he goes anywhere else’s it’s purely for the money

70million euro release clauses. Fully expected it has to be triggered.

I think in the round it's a toss up between Newcastle and Liverpool as the "bigger draw".

Newcastle have the money and Champions League football next season, and are obviously a big club historically even if lacking the recent history. But a player going to Newcastle would very much be coming into a project in its early days. Some will relish that, some may not.

Liverpool have the recent history (in addition to a huge longer term history), an incredibly highly regarded manager, more "star players", and I think most people see this season as a blip for them. They're a more established project which is revitalising itself a bit, but they're not trying to build something basically brand new.

Personally if I was a player (and not a Liverpool fan) I'd be all over the Newcastle project, but I could understand others not wanting to take that on

Still getting used to this elite club status but I’m learning. Not even going to compare clubs or projects. Going to learn off other fans actions and words.

Szoboszlai been heavily linked to the Toon for the past month or two.Scouts have watched him multiple times. He’s adamant he’s wants champions league football next season.

He’s liking Newcastle posts on socials. RB have Champions league football. If he goes to a club that’s not in the champions league next year

He’s moved for “Money”

Hah See see. I’m adopting :)

So who’s getting Lavia? City’s buyback doesn’t activate until next season

The standard of my writing is appalling at times so I shouldn't criticise but can you stop these 1 line paragraphs please @Bigpig? I keep reading your posts like they're poems.
Noted and there yah go. Must appease the Liverpool overlords. :p

As per my edit, thanks. Reading your post brought back memories of GCSE English.

As for Lavia, reportedly Liverpool and Chelsea are interested and although City's buyback clause doesn't activate until next summer they supposedly have matching rights on any offer that's accepted.

How are you going to afford all these players without breaching FFP? You blew most of your FFP Ashley buffer spending 250+ million in the last 18 months.

new sponsorships / revenue streams from CL will help a lot.

Not sure how much mind, but Ashley gave us some rotten deals (considering our sleeve sponsor was paying more than the shirt front last year). With pre PIF stadium sponsorship worth less than 1 million per season too. So there is a LOT of room for us to grow.

If we can clear a bunch of the deadwood on 40k+ wages it should also relieve the wages / turnover.
