Summer Transfer Window 23/24

I mean at 33 youre gonna take that arent you.
I would to be fair, even more so that I would know that I am likely to get less play time this season. Who knows, it could even be a win-win financially because we could surely ream them for a pretty sizeable transfer fee and to be honest, Henderson this season or another £50m in the bank to spend, I think I'd happily take the £50m in the bank.

He's one of the least likely players you could imagine going to Saudi but if the figures being reported are true then it would be hard to not be tempted. If I were to take a stab in the dark I'd guestimate that Henderson's probably got circa £50m in the bank already but a £700k per week, tax free, 2-3 year contract nets him £70-100m.

From Liverpool's point of view, if we were to receive any sort of half decent fee for a 33 year old that's on £200k per week and past his best then it's a no brainer but I hope it doesn't happen.

Liverpool fans and mackems alike should immediately renounce their support for this average midfielder otherwise you clearly do not care for human rights.

I support Liverpool, not Henderson but it would be terrible if he or anybody goes there but particularly somebody like him who has been a big supporter of LGBT rights. And more importantly I won't be be wildly defending all things Saudi and pretending that they've changed their ways and are now fully supportive of a bit of bum fun.

I don't know how I feel about Henderson leaving.

One one hand, he's clearly past his prime. I've been very critical of him and last season he was barely playing at Championship level, maybe with less playing time he can bring his levels back up for a couple of more years. So moving him on, especially at 33 with a transfer fee, is not the wrong thing for the team. But keeping him could work too, if we have the right plan for him.

However, with Milner leaving this means we'd be losing our captain and vice captain in one window, two huge dressing room figures. That means a leadership void. VVD will be a fine captain, but after him we don't have another natural leader, our next vice captains are TAA, Robertson and Alisson. Mo will probably need to step up too.

He's an absolute wrongun if he goes there.

The difference is, your lot were petitioning to be taken over by MBS, wearing tea-towels on your heads and waving Saudi flags around. You wanted it.

How many Liverpool fans or mackems are asking for this move? Not that they have any control over it.

I'm sorry but the Saudis really aren't quite the boogeymen that some of you are making out. No they aren't nice but they are no worse than most world powers. The US continues to pull the strings around the world and engage in awful conduct both at home and abroad. Less said about Russia the better. China is running concentration camps amongst other things.

I really don't know why people are so hung up on these oil states being the big bad at the moment. Yes they are crappy but so are most countries. These gulf states just don't care about hiding it quite as much as us "civilised" westerners.
