I had a look and noticed BulkPowders do empty tubs in 3 sizes. I was hoping Lakeland would have some but my mother (a Lakeland cult member) said they didn't do anything suitable.
3.5 Litre empty tub holds approximately 1kg of powder
11 Litre empty tub holds approximately 2.5kg of powder
16 Litre empty tub holds approximately 5kg of powder
are these sizes correct? an extra 5 litre really doubles the amount of powder the 2.5kg tub can hold?
 
Yeah I saw them not lovely screw top ones like MP had though :p

Might just go for them.

I bought a MP tub the other week. Now they don't have them and I am sadface because I just put an order in and I'm going to have to live with pouches :(

What the hells 'Native' Whey when its at home?

According to the blerb it's made directly from milk instead of a by product from cheese.
 
Should (in theory, because after my first used of Jack3d I wasn't very impressed, to put it lightly) a pre-workout supplement give me more energy to beast out the last few reps as I get tired?

Now that I'm increasing my weights I'm wondering whether I should try a pre-workout sup?

I personally think you should just keep going without. By all means keep some at hand just incase, but I wouldnt want to be taking supps for every workout =/...

But hey, I wouldn't know, I'm a small oik :o :p
 
People respond differently to stimulants. I can say 2 scoops of jack3d is much better than a cup of coffee in my experience.
 
Well I've been having a coffee and banana before hand I can't say I feel much different?

The only time coffee seems to kick in is when I've had insufficient sleep.

I shall try and get some sample packs.

edit: I also just use it as a placebo, normally when I have it I only have 1 scoop and away I go
 
Lay off stims unless you want heart problems further down the line, cup of coffee should be enough. I used to have 2 cups of coffee before training but have stopped drinking it altogether because it was giving me chest pains and heart palpitations.

Seen quite a few cases of people having heart trouble after long term stim use.

Me too, cup of coffee does nothing to me. If I've had little sleep, a cup of coffee will leave me the same.

2 scoops of jack3d will leave me buzzing for hours wanting to throw weights about.

Do you have some links to research on this? I've been taking stims for many years and have never had any chest pains.

You sure it wasn't the use of stims and a certain illegal substance ;)
