Chocolate protein + dextrose is rather sweet :D

I'm sure the creatine from MP doesn't taste bad at all?

Its been sat there for a while, really really old. It tastes like absolute ****. Will order some more.

But yeah its very sweet! My little nephew saw me drinking chocolate 'milkshake' think I put him off it for life :p

Yeah my creatine has started to taste funny but it has been sitting here for a while. Sometimes i chuck it in my shake and cant notice it or neck it with fruit squash.

On another note i don't think the chocolate smooth is all that great. To me chocolate mint tastes so much better!

Less then 1kg to go though then back to the 5kg monster bag of vanilla....that with Dextrose is fun

By adding stuff like nesquick you are severely bumping the calories of each shake adding sugars, colorants and lots of other ****. Not worth it at all.
then use sugar free diluted pop :P
5calories in a 250ml serving mixed with water..

flavoured whey does have sucralose indeed, but it does not have tons of sugar and some bit of fat that nesquick comes with.
And because you have to add a fair amount for it to work it makes the whole "but is cheap" argument pointless, been there done that.

Just buy flavoured, less sugar and fat overall and probably cheaper as well.

It's not "omg stealing muscles" but if I can remove some "healthy natural ingredients" from my daily intake and no extra cost/hassle then I don't see why any sane person wouldn't do so as well.

Ingredients

Water, Orange Fruit from Concentrate (10%), Citric Acid, Sweeteners (Aspartame, Saccharin), Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Metabisulphite), Natural Flavouring, Acidity Regulator (Sodium Citrate), Stabiliser (Cellulose Gum), Natural Colour (Carotenes).

Aspartame has been found to be safe for human consumption by more than ninety countries worldwide, with FDA officials describing aspartame as "one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives the agency has ever approved" and its safety as "clear cut". The weight of existing scientific evidence indicates that aspartame is safe as a non-nutritive sweetener

Saccharin The International Agency for Research on Cancer has conducted a complete evaluation of saccharin's carcinogenic potential in humans and has concluded that sodium saccharin can no longer be considered a "possible carcinogen in humans. NOLONGER CONSIDERED EVIL

Potassium sorbate is a white crystalline powder that has antimicrobial properties. It is one of the safest and most commonly used preservatives today.

Sodium metabisulfite is a white crystalline powder with a pungent sulfur odour. Its main uses are as an antioxidant or chemical sterilant.

Sodium citrate is used to enhance athletic performance based on its ability to neutralize acid produced by exercising muscles and help balance pH.

Cellulose Gum Vitamins contain numerous inactive ingredients used as binders or fillers or for other purposes. Xanthan gum and cellulose are among the ingredients you'll commonly see on vitamin labels.

Thoughts? sounds pretty safe to me if anything robinsons sugar free juice seems to have benefits over not using it to flavour your whey protein

Yeah but don't forget the "colourants and lots of other ****" like sweeteners.... obviously flavoured whey does not have any of these ;)

Some people

indeed some people

Meh, I can't drink unflavored whey easily by itself in water...With milk it's bearable...

Drinking it in Dextrose an water however it's fine. Due to the massive sugar content mind :p

I used to have the MP Strawberry one a few years back, that was lovely

I like how me saying that nesquick is full of sugar makes you write a long post about how good squash is which entitles you to conclude with a pair of

some people, eh?
the roll eyes wasnt aimed at you , it was aimed at the perosn i quoted the one who roll eyed at me.

the person assuming robinsons sugar free squash is full of evils and if you take it your ruining your weight lifting diet.

there is nothing wrong with using it to flavour whey protein, it goes good with milk to if you get the summer fruits one.

its no worse for you than flavdrops but i guess some people take offence at beeing proved wrong

lol @ OCUK lynchmob

indeed some people
LOL! :D My bad I actually didn't mean to quote you, I meant to quote the quote in your post. Which is why it doesn't really make sense. It should have read like this....

just in case you missed it the first time ;)

Do you know how many different kinds of flavoured protein powders there are? 100's, possibly 1000's. How on earth can you say what is in them? You can't is the simple answer.

You're also missing the original point?

It wasn't to use Nesquick as a replacement but as a backup IF he didn't like the unflavoured whey. So he isn't stuck with 5kg of protein powder he can't drink. Do you see?

No worries mate, my order I placed the other day turned up Saturday morning all present and correct so that's 48hours using the cheap delivery.
Maybe I'm just lucky that I've never had any problems.

I have some very old Whey Protein powder (unflavoured) from MP, but it is about a year out of date, shall I just bin it and buy new, or would it be okay?
