Waste of time IMO.... but if it's free... Though unless you do a blood test before and after you'll be hard pushed to notice any difference. Certainly if you're young and at your prime, with a decent diet and decent exercise, your test levels should be pretty good.

I'll probably leave it for the time being then, don't like taking things for the sake it it. Cheers Freefaller :)

Protein wise the best i've tried is.

xtreme power whey
syntrax matrix
extreme pro 6

Been through most including the bulk brands.

On whey gets an honourable mention as it's good given how low carb it is.

Syntha 6 is not a protein shake, it's a protein/carb shake just look at the macros.

I've just been recommended to use No Xplode for training by one of my mates. I bought some, and dear god it gets me pumped up for the day! I haven't actually trained with it yet, just revised, but I went running the other day on it, and it really helps. I used to run cross country, but haven't for a while, and I ran one of my normal distances before and after, and it was a lot easier when I drank it.

Basically it's one of those creotine things, and I've never had one before, so I was wondering about longterm/regular use effects, if there is any.

So if anyone can let me know their experience of training with it etc I would be very thankful!

Cheers guys :)

I would be careful. NoXplode is a gateway substance that can open the door to using other, harder compounds such as creatine. Be. Careful.

ive used no explode many times in the past. It isnt a creatine, its a nitric oxide, which basically opens the blood vessels more allowing more blood to flow causing massive pumps!

Its a supplement you should take for a month or so to get the best effects and stop using it for a few weeks so you dont become tolerant to it

On a personal opinion, there are better pre workout supps out there but this is great for its price

Does it really annoy anyone else when people take pre-workout supps just to get a buzz, or to help them to really make it through a difficult laborious job like.... work? I've got a mate at work who sometimes comes down saying "I've just had a scoop of Jack3D, I'm so buzzing!".........

You're an engineer. In an office. You aren't even going to the gym today. WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS.

Shayper, you're basically getting a caffeine high and a big ol' dose of placebo. Walking to the corner shop has not taken half the time because you've taken a pre-workout supp.... It's 'cause you walked faster!

Do you know what would help you revise even better? A good diet and plenty of sleep. Do you know what's a little bit cringe worthy? Coming in to Sports Arena to tell us how you're taking supps to revise :p

I've done it before but only when I'm working events which means I'm running around for 20 odd hours before a few hours sleep and back to it.

Creatine ruins your heart and kidneys. I've had to have surgery 3 times to repair the damage done because of it.

On a more serious note MP superfoods gets the thumbs up from me, since adding it I've recovered better despite lack of sleep :/ and noticed my skin improving.

Before adding it I got 7-8 portions of fruit and veg a day. I think the trick is adding it to my PWO shake to get maximum benefit of the antioxidants :)
