How big was the sample? As a serving is only one 20g scoop.

I guess I'll find out the effects on me though, I've aways been partial to Jack3d since I found it.

It was one of the stick packs which from a quick looks seems to be 15g, I think you'll struggle to find anything that will beat Jack3d on pure buzz factor.

I'm sure you're right. I got them both cheap enough though, and I've always heard chaps I use to train with talk about Black Powder.
Then again some of them said Jack3d did nothing for them.

Wish people would stop putting Maltodextrin in pre workouts :(

I just saw Black Powder has that in as well

20g scoop per serving, 11g of carbs.:mad:
I haven't even tried it yet and I'm let down by it.

Edit: I wonder what'll happen if I mix 2 scoops Jack3d and 1 scoop Black Powder :p

Quick question...Will whey isolate mix differently than impact Whey?

EDIT: Bleeding flavoured stuff is £75 =/

Hiya

What bands do you recommend off the MP site? They're done in weight rather than colour :p

I personally use the 23-54kg ones (Same as Pullums green band). Although I do know some people get the lighter ones for other mobility work.. Just depends what you intend to use them for.

Also, look at the pullum resistance for particular band .i.e green and then convert the lbs to kg for the MP alternative :)

If you can only afford one choice then go for the green. This is the staple band for a lot of mobility/resistance work. The reds are useful as well but they are more limited by there lower resistance.

I bought some whey protein (arrived today) for the first time in a year. I stopped taking it cause i was starting to gain a lot of weight and a lot of it was fat. I took it 2-3 times aday (mp total protein along with mp oats) and trained 4 times a week. Anyway my family are concerned ill put the fat back on after getting it all off. My diet is good (i think so) and i do more cardio than i did back then.

Okay, back from Leg training and here's my verdict on Black Powder.

DO NOT BUY! Not if you already have something like Jack3d.

It's alright, it helps get a bit of a pump, and that extra little energy it provides is alright ( carbs and caffiene ).
Yet it's not jack3d, it doesn't give that tingly feeling and burst of energy where you feel like the weight is just nothing.
Sure if you have it use it, but other than that don't bother if you already have something that works really well for you.

I even cut out my half a scoop of oats with my scoop of whey after training since Black Powder already has some carbs in it.

I'll finish it off and that's that. Won't bother with it again.
One week BP and one week Jack3d until it's all gone.

One of the best pre workouts I've ever had was when I made my own, it's bloody expensive to buy the raw ingredients, but when you have them, they last a few months

L-Arganine, Citulline Malate, Taurine, Beta Alanine and L-Tyrosine, and then just some Caffeine pills

Mix all that up, 1-5g of each and you'll be buzzing and have amazing pumps

Total protein + oats + good diet will see you gain weight. If you just use the shakes as a diet supplement, have just the protein, and use whey isolate, or impact whey then you won't have added gainer ingredients.

Also wereyou having the shakes with milk or water? If it was with milk the. Then I wouldn't be suprised if you were close to 2k cals just on shakes a day ;)

Hi,

I'm looking to gain some muscle and have started at the gym, I have recently lost a bit of weight but want to try and gain some muscle before I loose any more.

What should I be taking? Ideally I want to keep fat gain to a minimum.

My friends dad has just given me some Creatine Powder that he doesn't want as he has stopped going to the gym. Is it any good and do I just use that or take protein supplements too or get rid of the Creatine?

Any help is appreciated! :)
