Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Well it's just a pic, if it breaches any rules i have no issue with it being removed.

And yup good pct is a must, along with cycle support and other things.

Why would the mods ask him to remove a picture of overpriced legal rubbish that will only do him harm? Methoxy dien is a joke and it is very bad on your liver much worse than the real deal, pro SD does nothing at all, 6-bromo has some evidence for its function but i wouldnt waste cash on it.

Honestly and im not trying to have a go here, these compounds are like the stick on tat boy racers get at halfords, at best it doesnt work at worst it actually does damage. The liver values i got back years ago when i noobishly toyed with methoxy structured compounds scared the life outta me, to put into context it was more harmful (at least to my bloodwork) than 'bol' (dont wanna be specific here) at above average dose, and we arent talking a bit either a LOT, an order of magnitude.

The problem is that the methoxylation of the compound is, on the one hand, what distinguishes it from the controlled steroid variant and enables its sale, but on the other hand its what damages the liver during its breakdown.

This stuff is not good

It is absolutely ludicrous that the legal alternative such as those above are both more dangerous to use and less effective. Good stuff government.

Never heard of any of those, the site seems down as well.

What are they all for?

Group of compounds known as pro-steroids m8, basically a chemist takes a steroid compound like dienone (as in methandienone or dbol) and then they tweak it and change it enough that iot becomes a different compound which is unbanned (such as the pictured M-Dien or methoxydienone - the actual name varies based on whether its alpha or beta alkylated amongst other things). These things are often then legally saleable as 'nutritional products'.

Scary thing is that nutritional supplements are subject to almost no standardization or testing for human suitability, unlike american FDA type approvals in europe its a case of sell it and if someone dies u might be in the proverbial if they can prove it.

Fact of the matter is that most of these compounds are neutered by the chemical change and provide little of the potency that the original compound contained, furthermore (as my above post states) they often cause more harm to the liver and renal system than straight up steroids.

This is shiny tat sold under false pretences to that large band of people who want results but cant face or source becoming juicers.

Pro hormones :/ they should only really be used as a kick start to a proper cycle on the "proper stuff"

Other than that, well, there are much better alternatives let's just say that

Thanks Ultra, sounds like trouble to me.

I'll stick with good ole hard work and good food, supplemented with amino acids, vitamins and healthy fats. Problably cheaper as well.

Interesting. Looks like Optimum Nutrition and Myprotein are at least trustworthy.

Lol at the Myofusion, so many people rave about that over priced **** because it "tastes nice" yet it comes in at under 40% protein in this test. I've always said if you want a nice tasting drink then go and buy a nice milkshake. I'll stick to my cheap unflavoured MP whey.

Just as well, I buy unflavoured Impact Whey from MP, just use the Flavdrops to make it taste alright. 8-10 drops of apple/raspberry/strawberry/toffee and it's perfectly drinkable.

I normally have 1 protein shake 1-1.5 hours before my workout, so I only have 4 shakes a week. In one sense, it means that my 2.5kg bag of Optimum Health Ultimate Whey Protein does last a long time. It is the only supplement I take, the rest of my diet consists of fruit, veg, oats, meats and fish.

However, I haven't been gaining weight recently and I tend to drift between 77-79kg when I do weigh myself.

Non training

2648-2748 kcal/211.3g protein/239.8 Carbs/70.5g Fat of which 20.55g saturates

Training:

2764-2864/244.3g protein/241.2 carbs/72.4g fat of which 20.95g saturates

Are there any supplements I should consider adding to my diet perhaps, or should I be thinking about making plans to my diet instead?

This is the most convenient diet for me, but could be better.

Has anyone used the bedtime extreme gainer on My Protein and might this be a good idea?

Thanks,

David

Increase your calories by 200 and monitor your weight over the next 2-3 weeks. If you don't see any improvement increase it again. 30g of nuts will give you 200 cals.
