Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Ultimately you don't "NEED" any of these. They don't "DO" much other than shorten recovery, though some have a tangible effect on focus like caffeine for example, and creatine (one of the most researched supplements) also. However, whilst they all have their effects, you need to evaluate how they act on you.

Most supps only really have a significant effect once you get to the limit of nutrition and performance - or if you're fairly in touch with your body too.

Nandos is expensive for what you get, small tiny insipid tasting chickens, hence why you have to douse it in sauce - get a whole chicken for £6 roast it and douse it in Peri Peri sauce and you've got heaven on a plate! :D

If you do go, whole chicken every time, it's the best value. And I do enjoy the whole chicken with the hot and xtra hot sauce! It's hard not to like.

I'm a great fan of trying to keep a more alkaline body, but I try and do this without supplementation and just eating a good diet. However, that basically means eating lots of greens and cutting out crap foods, and keeping hydrated. So not really a challenge :p Besides our bodies are naturally above a pH of 7, and too much fluctuation leads to death, so really unless there's a big issue with your diet/body there's little need to worry about it.

The thing is, like all things, if you hammer receptors/glands/etc... they weaken and become less effective. So purely by eating well, cutting out processed and refined foods/ingredients you can effectively "alkalyze" your body that way. You don't need supps - save your money, eat your greens, and enjoy life!

lol! afaik he's into expensive stuff yet i can't see any difference in quality between that and MP!

you do that! shaving your head makes you hard? doesn't it?

Who's into expensive stuff? Me?! LOL! I'm into food! :D

If it makes you hard for shaving your head when you haven't got much hair to shave - then I must be uber hard! :p

Them gains are small for 11 months. I know I made amazing size eating like a king when bulking. There's no way you will gain size unless your eating like a king eg lifting hard heavy in the gym, and then hitting 3500/4000 calories. No point slow bulking on a 500 surplus as you will pack on minimal muscle monthly. May as well take dbol and not work out, them gainz would be more then a slow bulk.

Oh do **** off.
