Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Hurray!.

I tried taking my BCAA like I do my creatine (straight in the mouth & wash it down with water) - had a nasty surprise (tastes far worse than I'd have ever thought).

I'll definitely give it a look :p
Girl :p I stuck 10g in some sugar free orange squash last night topped it up with water and it tastes fine, in fact it tastes exactly the same as BBW Excel for a lot less cost.

If you don't like the taste of BCAAs then pop a bit of CEE into the mix that'll mask the flavour of the BCAAs very well ;)

EAAs and OAKG and Creatine mixed together - it's almost more fun drinking your own puke from the toilet bowl.

When I was younger and more naive I thought, it tastes horrid - it must be good for me! :p

heh, i mix BCAA, Creatine and MP Banoffee whey together and cant taste anything other than the Whey, it must be some seriously strong stuff lol

Couple of - possibly silly - questions, I bought unflavoured whey a while back as I like to add it to porridge and make my own protein bars for when I'm at work and want a snack, but to drink it gets a bit boring. Recently I have been adding crusha to flavour, is this OK? or am I adding too much sugar etc and would be better off with a proper flavour system from MP? (can't beat a lime flavoured protein shake after a workout though :) ).
Also I tend to add my creatine monohydrate to my shake, which I have with milk not water. Is it better to take the creatine separate with water?

Sorry, things just occurred to me and I realised I didn't know the answers :P

I add creatine to my post workout shake. It doesn't matter what you have it with but I find that creatine, water and water leaves most of it at the bottom of the glass.

Do MY Protein do a sort of post work out, or proprietary blended whey?

i.e. whey with Creatine, Glutamine, HMB, Ribose and Leucine as part of it's stack, with a ratio of Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate and Milk Protein Concentrate, as well as containing multiple carbohydrate sources Oats, Maltodextrin, Dextrose??

If not, then it's fine, I'll just make up my usual stack, but buying all the ingredients is a faff. I'm going to be hitting the gym like a man possessed and I'm going to be keeping my food intake in check and so will need to bolster my diet with some shakes (yeah yeah I know...)

That stack works SO well as a recovery, but actually also just as a good shake in general - that I'm struggling to find anywhere that does it.

Recovery xs or hurricane would be the closest to that I think

Hmmm ok none of those are particularly good enough for me, and don't like emulsifiers. I was keen to try some MP protein for the flavours just for the craic - but I'll stick to my friends :) Thanks though Tom.

I'm saving for a house and a wedding - so need to shop smart - and well, as I've always said, it's there to supplement, and I'm going to need to supplement my diet. I'll be hitting just shy of 3k cals - and that's going to cost me enough as it is, and there's 2 of us to feed. I'm justifying it... yup - but that's me being honest with you. :)
