Supplements the debate/discussion thread

I don't know the scieces behind it and can't remember the two types of fat (visceral and? Or something liek that), but I'm presuming eating excess naffness (no idea if your weight gainer is in this category) will either make the fat visible ie on your belly and just about everywhere, or on your internals.

Think of a really skinny person, he can eat junk all day, gorge on sweets in the evenings etc, yet, he is thin as anything. Chance are, his hearts having a whale of a time trying to keep him alive.

EDIT: No doubt get something picked apart in this above post by the clever people here :p, but I welcome it :)

I am that person. I have always kinda worried that, that could be the case. It had to be going somewhere. Which I why I posted the Weight Gainer, as it was the first to actually make me get fatter :D
I did see that you can reduce your blood fats by short rapid sprints during the day. Doesn't have to be much.

Since this is a supplements thread and not a routine or picture thread. I'm wondering if this is best kept elsewhere.

I came here to see what's going on about supps lately.

This has been an entertaining read so far haha :p

Also Delvis go buy some UPS labs Test and try it out, I want you to be my lab rat ;)

Hi guys! This is pretty shameless, there is a competition that my local supplement shop is having to win some protein. In order to boost his likes on facebook.
Can people like his page; BodyXtreme Supplements and then write my name on the wall (martin collis). the person with the most names on the wall wins 2kg of protein.

Hope this doesn't break any rules!

Many Thanks

Back to supplements!!

After running out my protein which seemed to have lasted 6 months! i was stuck with what to use next! Everything has jumped in price now! :o ridiculous

decided to use myprotein for first time as you lot use it and grab some impact whey protein, any good? decided go for cookies and cream flavour but somehow ordered choc smooth :(

picked up some creatine aswell as not had any in 10 months!!

Should have asked for a referral code :)

Impact whey from there is fine, pretty much what everyone gets. I have choc smooth for the casein, and its amazing, well, tastes like chocolate anyway

For those that live in Bedfordshire area and ever venture near Luton, there's a shop called Maximum Nutrition on Old Bedford Road that sells branded protein at very good prices. Been using ON Gold Standard Whey for months now, under £40 a tub.

Yeh 5lb tubs. The ON protein is generally very highly regarded and takes me about a month and half to get through a 5lb tub, so the price suits me. Plus its the only supplement I use these days.

Hi Guys,

I'm a short term lurker on this part of the forums and looking for some help.
I'm 31 and overweight, I've done little or no exercise in the last 10 years and looking to turrn my life around and get back in shape.

I rarely have breakfast, and my meals have been less than healthy for quite some time. In the last few weeks I've started eating better and I've been to the gym a few times, but trying not to overdo it and injure myself after so long out of shape.

I'm looking for some genuine help and advice in routines and suppliments. I can see that a lot of people use MP.

I was thinking of getting the MP Impact Diet Whey, with instant Oats for breakfast.

Half a pack (1 biscuit) of breakfast biscuits mid morning.

MP Impact Diet Whey for lunch.

Half a pack (1 biscuit) of breakfast biscuits mid afternoon.

A normal dinner.

I'm looking to ramp up going to the gym 2-3 times per week, with some exercise at home.

I'm looking to see if this is a sensible plan, and also if any other suppliments would be of use. Also what weights, measurements and details do I need to get and keep track of my progress and what can I reasonably expect. Sorry for the ramble, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
