Supplements the debate/discussion thread

same here! but I don't think I Can handle any more of the unflavoured stuff! tried a few over time, 2nd best is probably TPW, but jaffa cake flavour is REALLY sweet :o

I first tried the unflavoured MP stuff and through what the hell was I doing buying 5kg of the stuff, a week later I loved the taste and its all I order now.

Going to place an order next week.

I still just order 5kg Unflavoured and use the Flavdrops MP sell (use them with quark, oats and other stuff too). Don't drink enough whey to care about it tasting great v.s. just 'okay'. Wish MP would come out with more flavours though...

Ah good call on Makro, completely forgot my Dad has a card for that place, cheers!

EDIT: I've read about it online but what are people's experiences with D-Aspartic Acid?

It has been shown to have some effect on test production, but the research is limited:

Not a waste of money, but there is more you can do diet wise before you can do this.

Yeah - the problem we get into is what 30-40% extra test ACTUALLY does from a growth/strength perspective.

When put in the context of somebody going full bicycle, the amounts are not really significant, to the point where any differences in effects would be masked by different genetics (even assuming diet, training and training history were the same).

And that's the problem, every body is different had different diets and lifestyles as well as body composition/makeup - not entirely a scientific study.

Anecdotal experience is that I definitely feel "better" taking a decent regular dose of DAA - but I have a relatively decent amount of lean mass, and relatively decent diet and lifestyle.

MP have it on offer at the moment 250g for <£8 (They have an amino sale on if anyone is interested). Although if I take it these days, I spend the next few hours dropping my guts out my backside..

This is exactly my experience. Having said that, I've not taken it in a while.

Anybody still using Muscle Food? I’ve noticed that their quality seem to be sliding now that they are a bit more established.

Their chicken sausages used to be awesome, but the last lot I got were totally different, and only just tolerable. Their bacon used to be really high quality too, but the last load was indistinguishable from supermarket stuff. Also, the fat trimming on their chicken breasts has become a bit half arsed.

Any alternatives I should check out? I like buying quality meat in bulk.

I haven't noticed issues with their chicken but I don't buy anything other than lean meats - all the processed foods like sausages and so on I just buy from the shops as a treat. I did get some sausages free as a trial about 6 months back, and I thought they were very good,. I couldn't comment on the current batch though.
