Supplements the debate/discussion thread

I've been trying out regular drinks of beetroot juice to see if it improved my cycling. I definitely notice a difference - my cardio feels like it isn't as strained and I'm recovering faster. Net effect feels to be more endurance too. Fun stuff, shame it is almost as unpleasant to consume as BCAAs

Isn't beetroot juice supposed to give a good "pump" during workout, I follow a guy on facebook/youtube...GST - Growth Stimulus Training and he's always posting about it.

I've not read up on that side of it. There are lots of studies showing an improvement in cardio performance (or at least an increase in time until exhaustion) which seems to be due to the nitrates making your use of oxygen more efficient.

GoNutrition have a sale on at the moment. 500g bags of Whey Protein 80 for £5.00 which isn't bad if you want to try a few different flavours out. Just ordered 7 bags.

Any recommendations on flavors, some of them sounds awesome!

Also, you tried the pancakes? or any of the other products?

where can i get pre jym ? BB is out of stocks.

Not sure i got mine from BB.

Ordered last Friday from TPW, and after multiple emails about them not dispatching my products i finally received them today. Apparently there was a bug in the system and obviously not seeing my order of some sort even though the last 3 days i had messaged them to dispatch it. Poor service this time around, but ah well.. i look forward to trying the Caramel whey in a mug cake.

I tried the taster pack a while back before I bought some from them so I can give my own opinion. Not tried the newer ones though.

I'll split it into 3 groups; the great, the not great not ugly, and the ugly.

Great
Simple Banana
Strawberries
Triple Chocolate - Good tasting chocolate. I make a peanut butter smoothie with oats and sometimes banana protein as well and it tastes pretty good.
Vanilla Ice Cream - IMO the best out of the bunch. Out of these 4, I mainly grabbed this one for drinking alone as it's sweet but not sickly sweet or 'heavy', which I do find with chocolate ones. That's probably just me though.

Not great, not ugly. (Can't really remember these too much but I remember they weren't terrible)
Key Lime Pie
Blueberry - I remember this one being the worst out of this bunch. Maybe borderline ugly.
Jammie Biscuit
Maple Syrup - Borderline great. But wayy too sweet to have often.

Ugly - Just no.
Rhubarb
Turkish Delight

I quite like the Turkish Delight, it would not be the first time someone on here has cried after listening to my whey flavour advice though :D

Had a sample pack a while ago but can't really remember any stand out flavours really. Always go back to the classics of chocolate, banana and strawberry for the most part.

Key Lime Pie and Blueberry Cheesecake I liked as just a change, would never buy a bag bigger than 500g/1kg in these to be honest.

Jammie biscuit was ok if a little boring and can't remember what rhubard and custard was like. And wasn't keen on maple syrup either.

Don't bother with it as a pre/post-workout. Just take it whenever you want, once per day, and 5g of it at that. For optimum take up take it just after you eat some carbs.

Thanks Frenchtart. Problem with creatine, is that I’ve read such an awful lot of info on it, that I’m now a little less sure I know what I’m doing with it.

Advice ranging from yours, to pre / post and some recommending that you have it during your workout for “explosive” energy while you work out.
