Tabletop Warhammer?

That's all 6th edition isn't it?

I think we just play it as if it's two armies controlled by four people.

So DE move, CSM move, DE shoot, CSM shoot, DE assault, CSM assault and then the other side.

I think you still do all phases in order, move -> shoot -> assault but wouldnt you just do either one side lights up the sky followed by the other or alternate e.g. p1 (a), p3(b), p2(a), p4(b)

Started work on the Sanguinary Guard last night, need to tidy up the chest eagle as it looks a tad scruffy.

They chest eagles are never really well defined when they come out of the plastic mold hmm

I'll try and get some orks painted up this weekend and post some pictures. Just be gentle with the criticism :p

Lol I have found that they do give out great ideas/tips if you post I know my painting has improved a fair bit but till only table top standard but slowly getting better.

I recently looks at my models and I have found that the metalic has gone a little too smooth and dull is that because I watered it down?

Matt varnished 3 Tau Broadsides, 2 Remora Drones and a Devilfish last night. All decals applied first too.

Will aim for a pic this weekend.

Myself and my gaming group are heading to Warhammer World for the whole day on Saturday if anyone wanted to join us. Will be bringing lots of 40k and WHFB. I think we have a 10k per side 40k game planned for during the day. Might even stretch it to 15k each side!

Currently in the throws of painting my first orks. Half of him is one set of green and the other half is different. Think I know which scheme I'm going to use now. Will get one finished this weekend and a pic up!

That looks ace Simon..... I can honestly say I wish I could paint to that standard but Practice makes perfect.

Oh.... Decent brushes make a hell of a difference, did about half hours work on a Termie last night and the paint just flowed so much better and smaller parts were easier with a decent brush.... just goes to show how crap the Citadel brushes are

When I first read that, I pictured an ork painted half green, half another colour :p

Look forward to seeing what you've done, you might inspire me to add or change things to my current scheme

I keep getting distracted with my painting! I really want to get them done but not rush lol

If I every get my squad finished ill post a pic of them all but I still havent decided how I want the guns! because they are the word bearers they have a lot of silver on them already so I dont really want any more. I could leave them black but I am not sure how to highlight them to make them better!"

I would just make them a different silver. Word Bearer army metal is pretty bright so just make the guns very dark and dirty. You could even make them appear chemical stained or something by using small amounts of different coloured wash to stain the metal.

Or you could make the bolters black with metal barrels/ammo clips etc
