Tabletop Warhammer?

Is the fantasy version of warhammer hard to grasp, I like the look of the models but I have never really played it? what are other peoples thoughts?
 
Fantasy is a more complex game but more tactical and better overall I think.

I play Wood Elves in WHFB. Be mindful though that if you want to play real world version it gets expensive as you need a lot of models.
 
I'd prefer 1.5k battles for the flexibility it allows but I'm easy.

Only allow army changes every 4 weeks or so so there's no chipping and changing.
 
I agree actually, I don't think a 1.5k battle takes much longer than a 1k battle really when you know the game.

No army changes at all while the league is running :) We'll do it in seasons, any changes can be made between seasons.
 
fair enough, suppose once it all kicks of it speeds up a bit, first turn is always a bit slow :P

I like the idea of doing it in seasons and restricting changes, and suppose its possible with 1.5k :)

bring it on, Sir David Henry Whittleworth looks forward to climbing the ladder :P
 
Little update, for some reason the model looks worse when i photograph it :)
