Tabletop Warhammer?

That is a lot of money! I have heard stories of some places u pay them and they don't even spray the underside of vehicles to save time.
 
Not surprised at the prices with amount of hours and skil required to paint a really good model. But it kinda goes agaisnt the whole hobby. Does he play the games for you too?:p
 
Has anyone else looked at the new Chaos codex?

I got a copy yesterday and it's interesting, some fairly big changes to some units (Soulgrinder now only takes one additional ballistic profile, but has an additional CC option, and changes to it's it's weapons), demonic instability, points changes, and minimum squad size for several units is up, as well as Karanak now being a HQ option (IIRC he was a character upgrade for the hounds in the old book).

It's currently in my basket on the Mythreal sale along with a Forgefiend, is it a decent book?

I sort of want to get some daemon troops at the same time but not sure which are looking good now!
 
That not a bad price for painting though. Remember these guys need to charge a decent rate as they do it for a living. Most I have seen around around the £10 per hour mark and base their pricing on how long they think it will take them.

If you add up the hours you spend painting and multiply by a rate you probably wont be far off.

So far all the commission work I have done has been cheap and for friends but I don't have much of a portfolio and they also don't have deadlines on when they want it done :) They also tend to pay me with Forgeworld models as it stops the wife spending my hobby money on other stuff.
 
Does anyone know a good place to order Vallejo paints from. I have not heard many good things about the new line of GW paints.
And as I need to replace all my old dried up paints. Don't want to have buy two lots.
 
I really want to pick up The Horus Heresy - Betrayal from Forge World, but it's so expensive (and would ultimately lead to me building a Legion army...). :(
