Tabletop Warhammer?

I was looking at getting back into 40k as it's been quite a few years. But seriously, what the hell happened to the prices!

Also what is this fine cast stuff about, what are people's opinions on it?
 
yeah the prices shot up, you can get some decent discounts online but you are not going to get a tactical squad for £12 any more :(

Finecast replaced the old metal models, new sculpts are coming out OK with a few small issues but the old converted sculpts where pretty bad at first. I personally quite like it, much better level of detail on fine cast stuff.
 
I'm interested by the concept, concerned by the dev they've got, but then intrigued by the people they've hired. I don't know if I'll back the KS (I've spent quite enough on KS recently) I may wait for reviews.
 
I think for those two I was just lucky and I think a lot of people are down on dreadnoughts just now so are getting rid of them. Im not fussed I love the models/fluff for them. Still need to get an Ironclad and a GW venerable. Ill probably just buy the GW venerable boxed as there seems to be a lot of different options for it.

I missed a great deal that was something like 3 complete black reach sprues , 2 tactical squads and a command squad went for about £30 inc postage which I thought was pretty good.
 
Most of my orks have come from black reach sets of ebay. I've had some great bargains. Now I've got enough boyz I'm struggling to find bargains to compliment my army, especially vehicles
 
Just had a look through the warhammer 40k boxes on my cuboard collecting dust, think it might be time to ebay it.

Aceytrixx are you fine with playing tomorrow? say 7pm? Same scenario as before I assume (I'll work out some more at some point) I've written a fluffy-ish Tau list.

If you are after a Trukk I believe I have one at home that is partially primed in black but mostly still on the sprue I can send your way for cheap cheap.
