Tabletop Warhammer?

hey there, is warhammer still a decent playable game? I left GW games a few years ago selling all my armies but must admit I do miss the creativity.

Was thinking of either getting back into Warhammer or jump ship and start Warmachine

Thats fine :)

@hudson: Its more expensive than ever but still fun :) quite a few people on here source from ebay and other sites with 20-30% discounts on GW price so it can be done for a little cheaper. If you want to play some of use play using Vassal a few of us are usually free to play the occasional evening.

Haven't seen it posted yet, but I was browsing the Black Library site and there's a pre-order for a Farsight Enclaves supplement, so I'm guessing GW think the Iyanden one was a success. Kind of surprised that this is the one they went for next, though. Maybe there will be some interesting Chaos ones, although I doubt it. :p

Oddly, this Farsight Enclaves book is not listed anywhere on the main GW site as far as I can see, so either it's up too early on BL, or they're going to try a digital only approcah.

Black Legion is next apparently...

...which is odd because CSM codex is Black Legion, why the hell do they need a supplement?

Codex csm has, for the last two iterations been codex chaos renegades rather than a focus on black legion plus black legion is where the sales are because you can have a bit of everything (ie buy a bit of everything...)

But what could they put in that would change it to Black Legion?

Farsight Enclave I'm going to assume is Crisis Suits as troops (thought you shouldn't be able to take ethereals, riptides and Kroot really)

next time I play that list, I am going to stick with what my original plan was yesterday and also your suggested tactic. Bunch the bikers together and go vroooooom up the field.

I think people are just grasping at string wrt the supplements. I would expect we'll see codex space marines followed by Ultramarines (because you know...Matt Ward) then probably Templars.

If there is an Ultramarines supplement I will actually have to imprison Ward on the moon for the good of the wargaming community. Codex: Space Marines should be a perfect representation of the Codex Astartes and any supplements should be for playing Chapters which deviate significantly from the organisational structure and tactics laid out within Guilliman's work! >.<
