Tabletop Warhammer?

This just happened to me. Its been 12 years since I've been in a games workshop and within 5 minutes I'd spent £126.

Whoops.

That sounds v3ery familiar.

I hadn't really been in one for years, and after playing with a friends Tau I went in for a few minutes.
I walked out with a Tau megaforce (I bought a second one later*) and the codec. oops.

I dread to think how much I've spent on it over the last few years, and I have 3 full armies to paint (I've currently got a large number f tau, a chaos daemon army, and i'm working on the first team of skaven, with Nid, Empire and Skaven armies to do)

*And the rapid insertion set, I plan to field an army with the boss who can have 7 bodyguards sometime - I've got about 15-20 suits in total.

thats what I'm like as well. this time last year when I restarted the hobby I dropped about £300 over 2 weeks buying rule & army books, then lots of models for my tomb kings. Since then I've got a necron army too.

Just finished reading the latest white dwarf. Really looking forward to the new rules next week, if the missus will let my buy them that is

Kinda miss my Orks models :( had to stop collecting them and send them all back to my mums for storage as I moved in my girlfriend and we had very limited space, plus my desk was in a room with no windows which wasn't good when trying to paint only by a lamp light, started to get serious eye strain.

had to go to brum for some shopping & poped in to GW. They were just finishing building a stormtalon & it looked much better than the pics on the website made it look........so I ended up buying one lol

Can anyone suggest whether its better selling bits individually or as a job lot on the bay? Got both high elves and dark eldar plus scenery to shift...

What sort of High Elves have you got? I know someone who might be interested

Cheers

Kimbie

Er... Quite a bit inc. a book, i'll photo it all as i dont know an awful lot about whats what. All i know for sure is that i've got cavalry, infantry, archers, a chariot, a bolt thrower and a man on a big dragon :-P some built, some painted a bit some finished (though not with any great skill)

Guys what type of sand paper do you use to clean up fin cast models?
I have tried using the games workshop emery boards that they sell but they don't last long and at £4 a pop I was thinking of making my own.

Can't help with the finecast stuff, I only have the one. For everything else I've either had an older metal model or have just converted up from plastic.

Looking forward to the new rules tomorrow. Probably going to pick up a few imp guard bits for an allied force for my dark angels, most likely a battleforce & a valkyre. Always loved the idea of flyers & now they have better support in the main rules I plan on taking full advantage.

It's cheaper to get the finest emery cloth that the likes of model zone sell. I get my rocks, aggregate and scenery from there as GW is extortionate in comparison.

got the rules, some of the psychic cards & my planned IG models.

Just dug out some old tanks from the loft too, which is good.

Flicked through the rules, but will give them a propper read through tonight most likely

I MAY or may not have a Gamers or Collectors edition sat in the Walsall store, as that is where my best mate now works. I have been struggling to get hold of anyone past few days as my phone is being a ****...

got the rules, I was a bit upset by the comment of some ejit in the shop who suggested that GK with nemesis force halberds now strike at I3, fortunately they're wrong however they are now only AP3, not so good against other terminator units (or anything with a 2+ save) which still hurts as that's mostly what we rely on to do the dirty work for us!

Tyranids look to have gotten a big buff now they can basically glance vehicles to death very easily, shame as I've started to sell my tyranids on ebay :(

Imperial guard look tough as ever, definitely need to get some hydras for my army now with all the flier rules though!
