Tabletop Warhammer?

Thats a good deal. I always keep an eye on ebay. Have had a couple of bargains from time to time.

Managed to get a new BNIB old edition Wood Elf archer box for £2 last month. Was still sealed in plastic with a £5 Toymaster shop sticker on it! They may not be multipart but still adds a 8 Glade Guard to my list!

Ok so Ive decided I'll get back into the painting

Think I might start with a nice citadel finecast model, seems to be some nice ones around!

ALso - @ shaank Your free marines were delivered today according to the royal mail tracker :D

My Isle of blood are starting to look like something other than one shade of plastic:p

I've still got to do bases on all of them (paint and texture), shield rims, washes, and most of the work on the oddies (engineer, support weapons, and boss).
I'm not going to bother with highlights for most of them, as only the front ranks really need it.

The greeny/brown is a Vallejo coloured undercoat, which looks quite reasonable when washed, and saves a bit of time in doing at least one colour when painting:p

I'm going to try and spend another hour or so on them tonight which should see the sheild rims done :) (it seems like I've been working on them for ages - largely because I haven't had the time/energy to do them for months)

The trays are temporary ;)

I'm planning on making some magnetic ones :)
The models have got a pair of magnets hidden in the base, to make it easier to spray them, and stop them falling over when placed on scenery (IE hills).

Especially when you're a slow painter, and looking at something like 100+ models minimum in your force.
By the time I've finished my current backlog of Skaven, I'll be looking at something like 80 clan rats, 40 storm vermin, 40-60 plague monks, plus everything else.

I may change my mind, but at the moment I want/need to get at least a working force done ASAP, and doing the highlights on every model in a horde is quite a lot of extra time.

I'm hoping to speed up the rest of the ratty painting by making more use of the airbrush - the plague monks should be a breeze to get much of their colour done in a couple of AB sessions, leaving mainly highlights and detail for hand painting :)

But then you dont know the joy and randomness of Skaven.

As per my Treeman I play Wood Elves so am used to MSU style and high points costs per model but my 2500 point army will still have over 80 models in it! Its a lot of time to paint them fully and whilst I do, I can appreciate why someone wouldn't!

I started painting a Highborn last night. 2 hours in just to do cloak and armour with base and 1st stage wash/highlight. All in he will probably be a 10 hour paint I think.

Also finished my first Treekin so can do the group shot this week/weekend of the tree family (Dryad, Treekin & Treeman).

Can someone advise the best place to go to sell off W40k things, would it be ebay?

I've got loads of odds and sods which i really should get rid of.

Got some fully painted marines and also a few half painted tanks and vehicles.

Plus also want to get rid of all the random little bits you collect from the sprues.

Ebay is usually a pretty popular choice to sell WH stuff on.

Also try Maelstrom Games, I've sold junked stuff to them in past to get rid of stuff quickly (They offer by weight but if you chat with them you can get more details)

E-mail me in trust if you like Jock. I might take some off you. I'm not that far from Darlo so I could collect.
