Tabletop Warhammer?

Termies capped at squads of 5, all old assault options cant be feilded as deathwing and a bunch of other stuff.

Somewhat disappointing tbh, played against a DA army this Weds just gone and it was a close battle, certainly felt like our armies were point for point well placed.
Where was the Terminator squad size cap change announced? I've not seen any of this, and its not reflected in the app either.

Im just looking at that now, Deathwing Terminators are still up to 10 man, whilst Deathwing Knights are up to 5, which kinda makes sense, given they're meant to be the creme de la creme, although yes a headache for those who had 30 of them, but I can maybe see why, given damage mitigation etc they bring. They might have been just a bit TOO strong in 10 man squads, and a bit too hard to move; given that'd have essentially needed 50 damage+ to remove from play. I was worried Deathwing Terminators had also been nerfed to 5!

Works out well for me, the 2 Deathwing Terminator Squads in the Deathwing Assault box are being upped to 10 man each via Leviathan's termies and then an additional box I've already picked up, and means I have all the Deathwing Knights I need for now :)

Just got to weigh up the Inner Circle Companions though.

Wasn't expecting the next faction so soon, hopefully the rest arrive at similarly short intervals
I went into my local independent gaming store this morning to pick up The Ravening Horde and Forces of Fantasy books for The Old World, I have already got my name down on the pre order list for the Orcs and Goblins set.

Cheers All

Getting used to painting fur without contrast paint. Wee bit of wet blending and highlighting.

Still hate painting Bolters and edge highlighting!! At lest with my new scheme I don’t have to edge highlight everything 3 times over.

New model turning up today just for a bit of variety. In my defence I did try get this early Dec but it was OOS despite saying in stock. I have promised myself not to get more models until I've actually finished more of the current stack. Books and new hope (paint that will compensate my lack of skill) excluded :D.

Speedpaints should be turning up today woot :D

Nice. I am going to get a couple that match some existing ones I have to see if I'm just as **** with those or not.

Just seen I have a number of resin parts on my new model. Is the process for that pretty much the same but I should scrub/wash them before (super) gluing on to the rest of it?

Edit: There is a comprehensive leaflet on working with resin in the box.

If its resin 3d printed it should have already been washed and cured but some ipa on it wont do any harm ;)

Cheers all

It's a GW/Forge World product so whatever that is :)

Give the resin bits a quick wash in soapy water. It’s just to get any mould release agent off the parts so your primer will stick properly.

Edit: just seen you found the leaflet so you know that already!

Further edit: you literally said you would wash the parts, I must be going blind!

What’s the model?

Nothing exciting, it's a Moirax with Lightning Locks. Just to add a bit of variety.

Not starting it yet anyway, tonight I am doing the boring weapons on my marines with Celestra Grey -> Ulthuan Grey -> a white edge. Have ordered decals for the shoulders to save removing/ruining the existing. Plus crap weather so not sure when I could prime.

Whipping out the #4 brush for weapons.
