Tabletop Warhammer?

It seems Halfords have changed the formulation in their white primer. Its absolutely rubbish now. The new stuff somes with a shorter lid and a black spray nozzle.

Fortunately the color forge white is perfect, just a pain to have to order it online.

Yep I tried to time it when I'm buying a lot of stuff so the courier shipping charge doesn't sting so much.

I even think midwinter said he doesn’t use Halfords anymore. Similar reason and the price increase.

I generally will prime with the airbrush nowadays. Don't have to give a **** what the weather is like then. And it is way more cost effective. Although to be honest, that's not a factor in this really.

Looking forward to the 2024 Infinity

Sisters of Battle rock but I don’t think I could cope with any more power armour hah!!

Had a quick hour last night to paint and the Two Thin coats paint line keeps impressing me. I love the way they are direct copies of the GW line so you can follow along with their schemes hah. The only little fault I can find is sometimes the midtone is a little bit to close to the shadow and the highlight isn’t bright enough. But I take it that’s what they have brought out the bright tones colours.

Also notice cult of paint is brining out some new paints hah. Wonder if it’s just a new Pro Acryl set?

Question for the painters - if you want to follow a guide that uses gw white scar as the primer before adding a contrast layer, how would you touch up areas that are missed by the primer? There is no white scar base layer paint. Would this mean you would have to prime the model pieces before assembly to ensure everything is covered in white scar primer?

Just use white scar. It doesn’t need to be a base paint, it’ll just cover a bit less well. Should be a fair match to the can.

First 13 clan rats ready for basing, only another 27 to go but I will change the colour scheme a bit for the next lot.

Cheers All

This is incredibly random, but does ‘gorkamorka’ mean anything to anyone here?

My mother is having a giant clear out, decades worth of stuff, and found an unopened box from about 20 years ago when I was into GW. Means little to the family these days, I suspect there is a set of collectors out there who love retro sets?
