Tabletop Warhammer?

So far I’ve tried

W&N series 7 miniature-Expensive high quality but the miniature is miss leading. The hair is too short for my painting style. Doesn’t hold enough paint and drys quickly as a result. I would probably have loved the normal series 7. My size 1 is starting to dovetail but it’s easy to make to a good point again.

Raphael 8404 - the ones most YouTubers rave about now. Out of the gate love them but that didn’t last. Brush shaft bad quality. Nice big fat belly’s and a nice point to start off with. They didn’t last. I believe they are now a bit expensive.

Artis Opus- love them but price is high. Think it’s the signature line I have which has the bigger belly hair. I would probably dislike the m line for the same reasons as the W&N 7 miniature. Had a few stay hairs on my size two with not much use. Others are perfect.

GW- new and old line. Waste of money. The base brushes is the worst I’ve ever seen end up looking like a hedge hog.

Cheap synthetics always fighting with them. Some are serviceable and have their uses most have horrible shafts.

These Rosemary and Co are very similar to the look and feel of the Optus and W&N. So hopefully will get on with them. Totally impressed with the series 301 for the price.

Compared to other sizes you might have to size up. To match other brands!!

I’m too easily distracted. Instead of painting I’m taking pictures of paint brushes

Think I’m going to purchase one of those water cups that you can clip you brush upside down to stop water etc runing up into the ferrule.

My high end brushes. As you can see Raphael’s are rough and the W&N 7 miniature have a very small belly and tip but super nice points. Size two and I think a size 2/0 or 1/0 Raphael. Can’t tell as the lump of wood with the size fell off hah.

Ok that new Dark Angel box set they just showed off on the livestream for Christmas is fantastic for someone getting into Dark Angels! 2x DWK squads, the Lion, 2x 3man Inner Circle Companion squads, and a terminator chaplain, and they're all GORGEOUS models :) If I didn't already have all of those...and looking like I'm sitting on something like 7000 points of Dark Angels I need to paint...I'd have considered it :D

Link wasn't working for me, from all the different sources, couldn't really understand why either

Not sure if im interested on the new battle forces. Dark Angles and nurglekin do look sweet.

Almost forgot about the Warhammer+ models so now have Karlina von Carstein, Unbroken on the way and threw in Tzarketh, bane of law into the basket to get free shipping ^^

Depending on the price I'll likely try and grab the dark angel or necron one.

I don't need the lion so he'll probably be flogged on ebay but the rest of the DA modes are amazing

I do like a big box of stuff but none of those really interest me because of the armies involved.
If they had a chaos knight one I would have been all over that as I feel it's a natural second army for me considering I already have two war dogs and a moirax.

Yes, I love them. Got 2 copies of the Deathwing Assault box earlier in the year, but this box is just as good model content wise, and its a lot of money in terms of box, assuming the usual ~150 box, as at current prices its around £230 if you were to buy it all standalone, you're basically getting one Inner Circle Companions box and the Lion discounted off, which is amazing, and I'm assuming these are the full boxed contents, rather than the simplified sprues that often come in combat patrols etc.

Just picked Warhammer Underworlds Beastgrave Morgwaeth's Blade-Coven. There some awsome models in it which Inwanted for when I Start DOK.

In fact think I buy a few more warbands just to get some practice painting other models.

Wee delivery today.
Couldn't care less about the new sgt lol. I'm just having to look at eBay and watching the auctions which seem to be generally above 20 quid so I'll probably sell it.

Have to admit I'm in somewhat the same position with that sergeant, especially now sergeants rarely do anything or have better stats. It's one of the reason I didn't try and get extra copies of that magazine.
SLIGHTLY regretting that based on current ebay prices; weighing up whether to keep him for my Infernus squad, (as I slightly prefer this sculpt to the standard one; it at least feels like it fits the unit vibe more than the 'knife out' sergeant...), or whether to make back some money to cover off some of the magazines I have bought multiples of for my own purposes.

That said I might just take the head off my normal Infernus Sergeant and put a hooded Dark Angel helmet on him instead; as in most cases I'm a helmet on sort of guy, and it doesn't help the normal sergeant is a rebreather only model also, so change the head and I might just stick with the original. A flamer marine with his helmet off just doesn't make sense haha I'd not glued those original Pushfit marines yet for this exact reason, now I've got the upgrade kits in hand I can give them a once over before gluing them.
I might also keep him just so I've got two obvious Infernus Sergeant models if i decide to split the 10 man into 2 x 5.
