Tabletop Warhammer?

Harder and Steenbeck Evolution 2024 CRPlus 2 in 1 arriving tomorrow, really looking forward to using it.

If you can pick up the maintenance kit and some airbrush lube it will make your life easier :)

I have the cult of paint infinity and I love it great brush.

That wet pallet from squidmar is tempting as I love the design
Yeh I couldn’t help myself with the wet pallet. Amazing artwork.

I have already got the cleaning kit plus lube from my Infinity 2 in 1, but thanks for the heads up. (Too much kit here lol)

OoOoO one can never have to much gear. This will be my 3rd airbrush haha.

Also keep eyeing up the headgears new resin printed…… although if I skip this generation their next one will be even more dialed in and basically be the plug in and print printers which it’s seems very close to now.

This Evolution will be airbrush number 4 ;)

Just primed 12 Stormvermin, Krittok Foulblade and Thanquol using the Evolution 2024.

Really impressed with the almost instant discharge of paint virtually as soon as you start to pull the trigger back, using less psi too :)

Cheers All

just stuck in an order directly with Rosemarry & Co. Still after that perfect size 2 brush hah

1 PURE KOLINSKY series 8 size two and a couple of Red sable mix or pure synthetic. the kolinsky was around 10 quid, sable mix 3 quid and the others 1.80-2.20

Be interesting to see the quality of the sable blend and the synthetic. Have no doubt the kolinsky is top tier.

Got all my pack marking done but while trying to saw off an arm I cut through one of the knees of the marine hah. AK putty to the rescue. Wee bit of paint and almost as good as new

Got around to doing a few bits yesterday, repaired some second hand tanks I picked up, those are now battlefield ready (Predator, Land Raider Redeemer, 2x Razorbacks all in Dark Angel/Deathwing colours [and quite nicely done, to the point that even with the repairs and slight trims I've had to do to fix those + the paint melted by the glue and some slight paint imperfections where I believe at one point they were painted differently, I'm going to leave as is), and also finished building my second converted Deathwing Knight Chaplain :)
I may go over the helmets and try and melt down the service studs decals on the heads, as they're helms, rather than uncovered heads, but I might leave as an embelishment. Both Chaplains are built from the same pieces but the weapon arm has been built differently and the arms and head positioned differently so they both have a slightly different flavour.

The first one is more of a braced pose against something incoming, looking to his right away from the blow, whilst the second one is heading right towards you to introduce you to his Crozius, looking to his left right over his shield. They go with the official Terminator Chaplain who, beyond having the weapon and shield arm the other way around, has his crozius raised, so they've all got a different vibe :)

I will also be doing a Judiciar conversion from an Inner Circle Companion, and also picked up the 'Honoured of the Chapter' box (as I wanted some eradicators and more bladeguard), now that Indomitus is not easy to find, so I'll get the official Judiciar model also, although I'll PROBABLY leave that model as is. Swap the helm out on the Inner Circle Companion and he looks a fit for the Judiciar to be honest, and the Calibanite Greatsword fits the 'Executioner's Blade' weapon loadout for sure. I kinda like the fact they'll have slightly different looks as it makes them more unique on the tabletop, but also kinda gives the vibe they're from the same place, using the same armouries, but the elites get greater access to relics and gear. The fact there is overlapping wargear kinda ties the theme together of the knightly crusading force under the Lion, this particular Judiciar however chose to retain his honoured former wargear when he chose to go down the path.

This mockup gives you an idea of basically what I'm thinking of for the custom Judiciar, ignore the colour scheme as I'm going largely with Deathwing colours across the board, to highlight they're all veterans with Deathwing honours, no matter wargear taken. I MIGHT also put the cloaked bladeguard veteran head on him. But I was erring towards the skull helmet to help differentiate him from normal Inner Circle Companions.

I might also use the bare Asmodai head for my Judiciar conversion. It'll be the standard Skull helm (ala the converted Chaplains), or Asmodai's...I'm torn :) (I used the standard cowled helmet for my Asmodai as wanted to go for the classic look).

I'm staring at the plastic part right now, and the more I look at it, the more I'm thinking I might use Asmodai's helm. The lowered hood/cowl really goes with the robes of the Inner Circle Companion body, really looks the part as a Dark Angel specific Judiciar, and the guy wearing the standard armour is the more 'by the book' Judiciar.
Both fit perfectly in the Dark Angels chapter haha

Finally managed to snag one of these from my local Warhammer store today for the Titus model, the joys of playing Space Marine 2 ;)

Last time I looked the recruit edition was going for £128 on Ebay :(

Not sure where that green rectangle has come from on the photo though, most odd.

Saw this in one of my locals, would have been tempted but I really don't like the new Titus model much; and I've got gaunts.

I still don't really get what Killteam is tbh, not looking into it either for my own sake. Though I do have the Nightlords killteam box arriving tomorrow but that's just for 40k.

My order came from Rosemary and Co and I’m impressed!!

The most expensive brush there is the size two series 8 pure kolinsky. Threw in the Optus size two to compare. Still not what I’m after might have to be a size 4 to get that I’m after.

The natural wood handle is a blend of sable and synthetic.

The other two are series 301 the synthetic versions of the 33 the line that’s popular with miniature painters. It’s also pure kolinsky.

The points on them man is insane. The cost to the quality here is pretty insane. Doubt I look anywhere else now. The range is massive think I order a few more!!
