Tabletop Warhammer?

He he, i know.

Am building up a huge late soviet force. Its going to be some sight fielding a 3000+ point Soviet army:D at any one time.

Wow that is massive lol, will be good for gaming with. I'm tempted to paint a small german army for my showcase but can't decide. Too much 40k to paint atm

As soon as i got them painted up etc i will gets pics up of them in battle formations.

They are going to be made up of Battlefront,Plastic Soldier,Peter Pig and Forged In Battle. The T34's though are PSC, great value and decent models. Most of the standard Infantry is PSC too, with just some specialist units (Flamethrowers) from Peter Pig etc

Some seriously impressive paint jobs in this thread.

Picked up these two recently, the book is excellent, haven't been brave enough yet to tackle Angron yet -

All my T34s and Panzer IVs are PSC and I love them, really good models :) I'm just waiting on delivery of the new released PSC Tiger I box :D, decided to do a mid war Schwere company and chose to model 1st Company of Schwere Panzerabteilung 503 just before Kursk. Will make a change to have to play a little more refined than my Soviet horde zerg ;)

More evidence of shenanigans at Maelstrom, a new website for Eye of the Storm now exists

http://www.eye-of-the-storm.co.uk/

and apparently GW has now refused to extend any further credit to Maelstrom so they are unable to fulfill back orders.

If anybody here has outstanding orders with Maelstrom I'd get going on a refund if I was you, many people are reporting non response to emails so it might be worth contacting your credit card company or paypal depending on how you paid.

Some of the new Chaos Space Marine figures look pretty good.

I know GW get slated for prices etc but the quality of the Plastic models is way ahead of any competitor!

The eye of the storm site has been up for a few weeks at least.

But as to why is now in context ;)
They are showing items in stock that are out of stock on Maelstrom so the rumours of asset transfers in conjunction with elements of the company being split off (see Mierce minatures as a case in point) we can see what they're up to and it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

I've just got off the phone with a friend of mine who has been after a refund for FOW US Tank stowage he ordered 3 weeks ago from Maelstrom that is showing in stock on Eye of the Storm, firstly they ignored his first 3 emails and when they finally answered the phone this morning was told that the stock on Eye Of The Storm was nothing to do with them and they couldn't fulfill his order from this quantity, interesting since the adresses are:

Maelstrom Games Ltd
Matlock Mill
Hamilton Way
Mansfield
Nottinghamshire
NG18 5BU

and

Eye of the Storm Ltd

Fishy, just very fishy :(

That's really bad that they are selling stock to others that he has already paid for and now won't refund him on! Basically selling something they don't own in my eyes.

Maybe contact Trading Standards?

Also have a look at Plastic Soldier Company and Forged In Battle as well, they both do a good range of 15mm AFVs that complement the Battlefront Flames of War stuff well.

Games Workshop do not do discounts at retail. Not in any of their stores so no. What you can get though it the direct only stuff over the counter.

Only the independents do discount and this is basically a cut of their wholesale discount that they choose to do.

I take it the answer is no to my question:rolleyes:
