Take ONE, Get TWO - new GIGABYTE upgrade programme

Hi, its any plans or upcoming chance for upgrade for Kaby Lake cpu's mobo?

Similar question was already replied here. Please check it out.

As far I can see new Kaby Lake cpus will run on old z170 chipsets could you tell me please which boards will have bios ready to go or which mobos I can chose from? My current mobo is GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK.

You will find the list of mobos supporting next-gen CPUs at: http://uk.gigabyte.com/press-center/news-page.aspx?nid=1475

Now that Kaby Lake is out. I have noticed that Gigabyte have a series of Z270 mobos. However, there are none that appear to be of the UD3/UD5 range. Are there plans to make these boards in the future? Or can I upgrade to either Gigabyte GA-Z270M-D3H Intel Z270, Gigabyte GA-Z270P-D3 Intel Z270 or Gigabyte GA-Z270-HD3P Intel Z270? Even though they are not specifically UD3.

EDIT: Noticed on the Gigabyte website, there is a UD3 Z270 mobo. But not for sale from OcUK. Hopefully it will be soon!

Hopefully someone at Gigabyte EU will respond to my upgrade question regarding the cost to upgrade to a higher spec motherboard.

There's no cost details on the upgrade page & I don't want to choose the higher costing upgrade without knowing the cost to do so.

Hi @GIGA-Man,

Was wondering if you could help with an issue I am having with my upgrade that is currently in progress. Due to an RMA 2 years ago the motherboard I registered is different to the one that I have sent in. As its so long ago I can't find the paper work for the swap out. Due to this the upgrade can't proceed and I have been without my main PC for over 3 weeks now.

Thank you.

Do you have the RMA number for the swap out or the serial number of the board you were sent, we can then use this to find your original board registration and make sure you can still upgrade.

This was asked "Is there any x99 upgrade"?
@-Mike-
We let you (or anyone who participates in this programme) upgrade once within the 3 years. It’s your decision when you want to upgrade. And based on this WHEN it’s of course also to what chipset series: Z170 now or successor in the future.

@WgizmO
There is no X99 based upgrade in any way.
I presume this applies to X299 as well. I just had a quick read through the thread, although I've been following it from the start. So its worth a read through. maybe read T&C's
