TERA release date announced.

Just hit level 15 using my friends trial key without reading any of the trial restrictions.

In a pretty comical fashion, it said:

"Congratulations on level 15: your trial ends in 5 minutes"

Was a little blown away.
 
What PvP server are you guys on? Is there an OcUK guild? I did have a look through a few pages on here before asking.

I cancelled my pre-order because I wasn't sure how many people would play but it does seem quite popular and the screenshots/videos just make me want to play again

There is no guild on the PvP server currently but we're thinking of making one. We need to collect all of our names together! The PvP server is EN-PvP Samael.
 
Has anyone found crafting post 100 on anything requires items from the gods, literally! It's almost impossible , for example I need loads of boss runes to even make boots - is anyone else finding this?

I love the 2nd dungeon and area (the mansion) so cool -level 28 ATM games getting better and better IMO.

I think like with most Korean MMO's the crafting is a thing for higher-levels and people with gold to burn. I think I've fallen behind with my Extracting already because I can't extract items at my level :/ Might have to go back to the start island and farm them... what hell.

By the way the guild on Samael is up now, add me to your friends list for an /inv.
 
Argh, have had this installed for 2 hours now and I still can't decide which class to play! Going to be on Velik server. Might have to leave it until tomorrow as I can then spend all day at work checking up on all the classes! I'm pretty sure it will be a female Castanic for teh boobehs, or a Popori for the lulz. I like flashy armor and weapons, so I guess it will be a melee char. Would like a tank as it's easier to get into groups with, but is levelling a Lancer really that much slower than say a Warrior or Slayer?

I think it will be most likely a Warrior if they can tank decent because their swings are much faster, but I'll be happy with a Lancer too if levelling isn't so bad. DPS then I've always initially thought Slayer while Berserker swings just too slow for me.

Been playing this a fair bit. Got a level 20 Zerker, and ive been kickin ass. Havent actually died yet.

Combat feels a little slow for me as a Zerker, but I hit damn hard so do nice burst DPS, and I haven't had any problems with mobs so far. Plus, being able to block head-on attacks helps limit the damage and control fights. Really enjoying the combat. It feels much more involved than your typical MMO.

But I fear the combat is the only thing to like here. I guess the graphics are nice for an MMO, but the rest of the game is pretty generic. The questing just feels dated, boring and repetitive compared to something like GW2.

I played a lot of Aion. From its Korean beta, to the EU beta, until a couple of months after launch. This game feels very similar in terms of style and game play. You can tell some of the same people are behind both games. Aion became a real bore after lvl 30-40 and I see this game going the same way. There's nothing here to prove otherwise.

It's a decent gap filler, but i'll be switching to Diablo III and then GW2 once they're out. I certainly won't be paying the hefty sub for this game.
 
This game looks SO good, the live-action fighting is a huge win unlike the freeze-point-click-execute that Ive seen in others...bleh to that.

But...I hope the sub rate drops because Im not paying what they are asking for ATM! Will give it time...
