Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

I found a boomerang and enchanted boomerang in chests, just got my first regen band also. Makes life sooo much easier!
Haven't really achieved much these last couple of hours (in real life I mean...) Got totally distracted by the game!
 
Have a health and mana regen band now, just need more mana to actually regen. The other things I have are the horse shoe (no fall damage), baloon (jump higher) and hermes boots (35% faster run).

Completed my tunnel to hell (all the way to the bottom - haven't updated my stean screenshots with this yet) and have gotten a fair bit of hellstone. Need to make it narrower though as things are spawning in it. Going to take a while to get enough hellstone for a full suit and weapons.

Have killed both the Eye of Cthulhu and Eater of Worlds.

Was struggling earlier to get moving forward sitting in gold/silver armor and gold weapons, then I got a Blade of Grass... which then proceeded to let me gank the Eye of Cthulhu, Skeletron, run the dungeon and get all the loot. So happily plodding along in my spliffy new set of Necro armor and a Muramasa (this weapon is just insane) with some Feral Claws \o/
 
I just found a cloud in a bottle so had to uneqquip one of my regen rings. I tried using world viewer because I couldnt find anymore gold, and saw a big red pinkish thing on one side of the map, and thought o.O What is that thing? I wanna go there!

So I ran there and found an old man who told me I had to go back at night time. I entered the place anyway, jumped down a bit and got insta gibbed by a flying skeleton head!

What a fun way to discover the dungeon :p

Can't seem to get the Dryad or Gunsmith NPC's to appear, even though there's a spare room in the house on the 3rd floor which has a table, door, chair and lighting and is 5x8 squares and I've killed 2 boss monsters and own a gun... any idea as too why?

Hmm so this is on your single player game?

Try making another few rooms with nothing in it apart from the usual chair/desk/door as your top floor and bottom doesn't have any doors. Sometimes they just won't spawn for awhile.

It's no probs mate, appreciate the help regardless :) Aye it's on single player map. I'll make some basic rooms on the top and see if they turn up. Cheers!
 
Have all the floating islands on the server been found?

Going to mine demonite over the next few days to make demonite armour and weapons.

Once the server is reset I will build a shaft to hell :) - will make all future ones only two blocks in width since the extra block that I have included in mine causes problems - creatures can spawn in the shaft once you get to hell and it takes ages to build when you are passing through water or lava. Fun though :D

What should I do next? Head to the dungeon?

Edit: Flibby - are you sure he isn't stuck nearby? My Dryad got stuck and I had to "escort" him into my house.
 
According to the wiki, NPC rooms need to be 10x7, though they have moved into your other rooms.

I now have 380 hp, a full suit of gold armor and weapons, enchanted boomerang and a trident ...

And I still got killed by the eye of cthulu :(

I whittled it down to 800 HP, but forgot to watch my health and ended up dead.
