Terrible Jaguar re-brand

different strokes i guess... i love the new Lotuses , i am a big fan of sharp edges, its why i have always liked Lambo.
It looks like any other run of the mill car, I guess that's what they're going for but ironically they're doing the opposite of JaG, in terms of the physical car at least. They're going away from their traditional ethos, whereas JaG claim to be going back to it.

This is all I'm seeing.

I really don't get this visual style of vehicle - saw a Maxus Mifa 7 (what a name) recently, the front is kind of similar, just who finds that attractive and why?

Minimalist design/blanding is what we are subliminally told we want nowadays.

In 2010 I looked back at the 1990s and thought "wtf"
In 2020 I look back at the 90s and thing "damn it got so much right".

I guess in 2030 we'll look back at these bland slabs of vehicle and think the same; hence why BMW are fighting now for the future design language.

yes just coincidental that the minimilalisation / veganism environmental concerns align with cost reduction - bauhaus ?
wondering if all the employees got a die-cast model, our company used to do similar on innovative products you worked on (Starmers rebranding himself today !)

Mr Raw Dong Lover is off again, but at least he’s saying that they’re no longer aiming at the traditional (old) Jag buyer/driver, so fair play for that.

Comments as usual are lol (vile and hateful obviously).

I remember an old Top Gear section where they said they'd vote for someone with an interesting car. Nigel has had several foreign wives and drove at the time a Volvo. Mr nationalistic.

Going off the spyshots you'll probably get a final product looking exactly like the latest full size Range Rover, just as an EV saloon.

Funny how random person with photoshop comes up with better designs than a giant corporation. Just goes to show what sort of talent they hire.
You mean the giant corporation that already created the F-type that the random person copied? :o

That redesign works great if they're aiming to stay in the sports car market, not so much if they're planning to move into making a cheaper version of a Rolls Royce Spectre.

The fact the test mule car looks like a massive 4 door of some description would suggest 'sports car' is perhaps not the priority for them now.

Someone tweaked the design into something actually quite nice:

F-type grand tourer would be a winner in my book.
Thats actually really nice and is close to current F-type design which is yes a little bit old, but its not ugly or out of place.

Whoever knocked these images up needs to be hired by JLR immediately.

I think it could be tempered a little - so it still carries the size and mass of what they're aiming for but has a bit more interest in the design. The concept is just like a slab of clay that's had a fridge vent glued to the back.

The Bentley Batur that's just come out is probably an indication of where they are going.
