US: The 100

Watched this on E4 last night. It was okay but these offspring are completely dumb.

Just a couple of irritations..

Why do they call it "The 100" ? Okay they sent 100 but only 98 actually land on earth.

So they land, with no food, no water 93 of them decide to stay near the ship fighting/plotting over leadership while only 5 actually go off on a 20 mile trek to where there hopefully will be food/safe sanctuary then carry enough food for 100 people back 20 miles again ? How long will that last !

I know they have been stuck up in a space station for years but come on. Are they that stupid to think its okay to stay where they are ? I found that bit completely stupid.
 
It was terrible, though I'll hold off completely condemning it as I've only seen one episode and there was the potential there for it to grow into something good but I don't have much hope.
 
i watched this Series, a few good bits here and there, not entirely sure im glad i kept watching - plenty of irritating stuff where people behaved unbelievably, but it improved as it went on
 
That was part of the reason I found it so terrible, just in the first episode loads of incidents of people behaving in an unbelievable way and/or responding to situations in a way no one ever would if put in that situation.

Not in this time & place but it set in the future where the population has gone through vast changes.
You're taking it too seriously, just switch off your brain.

What I'm talking about would mostly apply in almost any time and place definitely not stuff that would change like that. Absolute garbage that I have no way to turn off my response to, unless it improves in the next 2-3 episodes no way I'd be able to sit through the whole season.

Yup, the series did improve towards the end and what appears to be an interesting development if it ever sees a season 2 but it was hardly surprising, and as already stated, Im unsure if it was a series I can class as having been glad I watched it.
 
It was renewed for season 2 a couple of months ago so there's no worries on that side. I'm of the same mind that i'm not even sure i really liked it, i tended to watch it every now and again when there wasn't anything else on.

It did remind me of an old show but i'm not sure how much as i barely remember. I think it was called Tribes or The Tribes, maybe an Aussie show.

I watched terra nova like that though I never made it through the finale.

There is an Australian show that is very similar minus the space stuff.
 
Watched the first episode on E4 the other night, don't think I'll be bothering with the second. Obviously it's intended for a teen audience, but it was just over-the-top cheesy. Crap acting, dodgy special effects/CGI and just seems like it's going to be teen angst every episode.

Plenty of good stuff starting up on Sky in the coming few weeks, no point wasting time with this.
 
Watched first episode on 4 other day, liked so much just watched the whole of Series 1 online. Loving it.

It really gets good after a couple of episodes in.
 
I watched the first ep a few weeks ago, agreed with others. Generic bad guy on The Arc, the 'we can do what we want!' rubbish on Earth, and the whole idea of sending 100 prisoners to Earth to determine the future of mankind.

However after a few more episodes I was pleased to see that the whole thing actually developed. The prisoners realised they did need rules. The generic bad guy had his eyes opened and changes his opinions. Things that seemed clear cut weren't.

I finished the season last night and was pleasantly surprised.
