1 - they are taking the **** out of you (they = the forum members above lol) :p
2 - re image - take another one, simples :p
3 - no, you didn't build your image on their sups, but then neither did cutler on the countless crap that he "endorses" lol

You can try to be ethical about it, but there is no point in the long run :p

Ever watched bigger stronger faster?

Christian Boeving admitted that Hydroxycut was only one of a number of things, including steroids, that he used to achieve his physique. He lost his job and all sponsorship despite one of the best (imo) bodies in the biz. If you get into the supplements industry its like porn, leave your morals at the door, the sobbing eastern european girl in the corner isnt your problem just get the job done.

Nice analogy, shame on is tantamount to rape, where as the supplements is hardly even close...

Although I must admit I was very tempted to say the above the other way around :p

90kg squat PB

http://s896.photobucket.com/albums/...FD-BA05-D47EE8BD6E8F-386-0000003EC38D8FB0.mp4

Wobbled like ****, felt a slight twitch in my leg so stopped going any heavier. Looking back on it my core was not very tight at all :\

Haven't squatting for about 10 days due to tight ACLs so I'm hoping I can crack 100 with better form.

No idea why I'm posting it up because it'll only provide ammunition for those immortals who enjoy putting people down but **** it.

Haha. Muscletech. Head over to Getbig. There's a guy posting there by the name of Fortress. He used to write for MuscleMag. Robert Fortney is his real name. He has spoke about MuscleTech numerous times and how Paul Gardiner (MuscleTech founder) used his (Rob's) computer to make up the labels BEFORE the supplements even existed. Paul himself was one of the first male models. Soaked in steroids off course, not Hydroxcut.

In fact, here's his post

'I was there from the brand's VERY beginnings. Paul was the manager of the MMI store downstairs from where we produced the magazine, and he'd talk endlessly at lunch about doing what Bill Phillips did. He has zero formulation/science background.

He'd use my computer after hours to write up those first ads.

He had the labels printed before there was product ... which in the 11th hour he ordered from some random supplier.

(That is him in the first fat-to-ripped photos. He was using drugs before and simply stopped and ate Wendy's every day to get fat, which he magnified with cotton in his cheeks, pushed-out-gut, spritzer-bottle sweat, sad look on face ... Then he started working out again and using steroids and clen ... )

The crooks and flakes who have gone through that company's upper offices is staggering.

Give them a dime and you're a total fool. '

I wouldn't say they're terrible, just not something special like a lot of people on the Internet goes on about.

So much left in the tank, you robbed yourself of some depth as well. Nice effort man, I could tell it was going to be easy due to your work out ;). The form was not bad at all in my opinion.

Yeah I robbed myself because of the twitch, I bloody **** myself! Hence why I ran and put the bar back rather quickly :o no pain so far so hopefully tomorrow will be all clear.

I'll use a different piece of apparatus next time, there is a new rack with adjustable catchers so that should help get that bit lower too.

I *think* my 1RMs might be something like:

Dead: 120
Squat: 100
Bench: 80

@ ~65kg

Need a spotter for bench though.

Third proper week back and I don't feel like I've lost much strength in my lower body so far and my upper body doesn't appear to be that effected by working my lower body again. Hoping I can continue my bench progression and nail that 170 in a few weeks.

Bench

95 x 5
105 x 5
115 x 5
125 x 5
135 x 5

Incline Dumbbell Bench
75 x 10
75 x 10
75 x 10
75 x 10
75 x 10

Inverted Rows
BW x 10
BW x 10
BW x 10
BW x 7
BW x 8

Dips
BW x 10
BW x 10
BW x 10
BW x 10
BW x 10

What's the best way to do a 1rm btw?

I did:

Leg raise/lift stretches and hip opener mobility
5 or so empty bar lifts
5x40kg
2x50kg
1x70kg
1x85kg
1x90kg
Enough warm up to get yourself loss, not to much that you sap yourself of energy.

I would suggest
Stretch and bar x5
40x3
60x2
80x1
See how your feeling if everything is solid then I would personally go straight to 100, if you want to be cautious then go from 80 to the following:
90x1
100x1

Looking good PK, are you following some program or just doing your own thing?
170 is a nice RM goal :) I think I'm closing in on 165 but have no desire to test RM right now.

Sigma that wasn't even close to max effort :p

It was man! I'm not sure I like the sound of dropping 100kg! Did you not see the wobble at the bottom of the squat?!? Probably a psychological thing but it felt so much heavier than 85kg.

I'll try it on the other rack next time :p

I wasn't sure if it was wise to go up in 10s as you get close to the max. As already stated, the other rack is better because I can rest the weight if it goes **** up.

Doing my own thing at the moment. My plan is to keep it simple, get my lower body strength back up to where it was then switch to something like Bill Starr's 5 x 5. At the moment it's about as basic as you can get.

Mondays
Bench 5 x 5
Incline Dumbbell 5 x 10
Inverted Rows 5 x 10
Dips 5 x 10

Wednesdays
Squats 5 x 5
GHR 5 x 10
Leg Press 5 x 10
Calf Raises 5 x 10

Fridays
Deadlifts 5 x 5
Pull Ups 5 x FK
Dumbbell Shoulder Press 5 x 10
Preacher Curls 5 x 10 :o

When your rep comes up this slow, then I'll believe it's near your max effort ;)

140x2
150x5 (technically a PB... only 2nd time doing these)

Bench:
50x5

Point proven :D

Nice work mate :)

With regards to the wobble, just looks like you lost tightness? Are you making sure you pull the bar down and engage the lats? :)

Defo more in the tank, especially due to the fact you noticed the wobble and got it back up with no issues and racked it :p

I'd love to do a 1rm session, not really the time at the moment. Can't wait till the cut is done

Good session tonight. I'm so weak right now it's lolworthy but i've got my pullup bar sorted and i've ordered some rings to hang from it and i'm going to start upping my cals a bit. Inb4 on that phaggy time but bodyweight stuff is really appealing to me right now.
