Cheers, gonna need it lol. 16 people in this one apparently and a few names that have done quite a few 'novice' comps. It's quite a back intensive comp as well, gonna book a massage in work for next week :D

G'luck big guy.

And I'd like to take a moment to remind us all of a rather unsung hero; calf doms.

ohmygodpleasenomorestairs!

Can we get pics or vids???

Oh and bonne chance! Have a great event! :D

Yeah, as all 4 of us are competing (only 4 of us use our "gym") and we are split 2 in novice and 2 in opens we have said that we will try and record as much as we can :D

Feeling a bloated 127kg today, my waist is growing again which I'm not happy with but core is stronger so can't complain too much!

Thanks all, nervous as hell but can only do my best :D If I finish in the top half of the table (>9th) then I'll be happy :)

Might need to back off the heavy deads a little.

Deadlift:
60x5
100x5
140x2
170x1
200x1
220xf (barely off the ground)
190x1 (v. hard)
170x1 (hard)
100x7 (annoying)

OHP:
30x5
40x3
50x1
55x1
60x1
62.5x1
40x10x3 (the last 4 were sort of push-pressed)

Chin-ups:
BWx10
BWx6

I noticed that earlier whilst I was frantically pressing F5 and avoiding work.

3 mile run today in the sprinting shoes. With calf doms. And now my calfs are horrendous!

Had a great leg session tonight. Squats were very strong (feel like I've got a lot left in the tank) and it's probably the first time since I injured my leg and back that I've not left the gym feeling weak and pathetic.

Doubled the reps for my leg press and introduced a 2 second pause at the bottom. I've got no idea why I did this but it felt like a good idea at the time. Afterwards, not so much

Still reliant on pain killers and knee supports but I'm only getting mild hip pain now so I'll probably drop the pain killers next week and the knee supports when I start my next cycle.

Squats
100 x 5
117.5 x 5
135 x 5
152.5 x 5
170 x 5

Paused Leg Press
280 x 5 x 20

GHR's

BW x 5 x 10

Calf Raises

190 x 5 x 10

Nice Squatting indeed, clearly only going 1/2 way though with that weight :p;)

Found out tonight that 12 sideded weights are annoying and potentially very dangerous when deadlifting. It doesn't help I'm on a floating rig, but pitch and roll are minimal. Stupid things keep rolling all over the shop when setting down after each rep, meaning a sqewiff lift or a need to reset the feet :/

Also, no post workout food in the gallery bar loads of ice cream and cones. So I had a tripple sized spoon of peant butter and a banana :D

Back on land tomorrow and proper gyms, yay!
