I get your point but it isn't worth keeping your glutes tensed the entire rep, mostly because the glutes primary function is to straighten out the hip joint which is the opposite of descending into a squat. The initial tense is to prioritise good spinal positioning before I brace my core, there's no point being braced in a bad position.

Also really hope he doesn't decide to bum me! Not only is it not my sexual orientation to favour that but also he is my brother :eek:.

All the gear and no idea in my gym this morning.

Guy comes in wearing gloves and a lifting belt, then proceeds to do a chest and bicep workout :D

There's something very odd about a guy doing bench presses, in the smiths machine, with a lifting belt on.
