What's better... Chin ups or pull ups?

I'm assuming chins work your biceps quite a bit more but which is better for back in general?
 
Proper grip width pull ups work your back better, chin ups work your biceps more.

Normally people actually put both in as assistance workouts during the week.

Mixing them is good. However pull ups are great for width. And perhaps start with pull ups and finish on chins. Add some weight to be hardcore! ;)
 
To be honest any one able to do bodyweight exercise is considered strong in my book. :) keep at it. :)

Pull ups sorts the men from the boys tbh. They are really hard.

Just bought some 97% whey, it must be the worst mixing thing I have ever seen. It makes leucine look soluble. Shake it about, and it just froths up and sits on the top... what a joke!
 
I've just started out at my local gym again, what would you recommend for toning muscle and losing BMI. Happy with my current weight just chubby and want to be a bit stronger without being massive. Checked through the threads would the beginners routine suit?.
