How many grams of carbs/fat is recommended in a diet that contains quite a bit of protein?

At the moment I'm consuming around 150p/150c/100f with most of the fat coming from nuts and being unsaturated. I feel like I'm eating too much fat and too little carbs.

Nothing wrong with fats as long as they're decent quality fats, and remember medium chain triglycerides tend to be used instantaneously for energy too. :)

Without knowing what you weigh, how tall you are or what your activity level or what your goals are, your current ~2,100 calorie diet is possibly on the low side. As such I'd bolster it up with more carbs, and more protein if you wanted.

Anyone stuck to Stronglifts 5x5 for 12 and a half weeks and had good results? Started it this week.

Hi there. I'm a 5x5 trainer and my gains after around 30 sessions. (over a broken 5 or so months.) are:

Bench: 38Kg --> 62.5Kg
Squats: 38Kg --> 90Kg
Deadlift: 78kg --> 130Kg
Barbell Row: 28.5Kg --> 60Kg
Overhead Press: 30kg --> 40Kg

I've been quite pleased with these results. Especially as I could've done better had I not missed sessions/celebrated Christmas :p I like it because its easy to follow and it works. I'm going to carry on with it until dem gainz stop basically.

The cycling to Uni was surprisingly not bad considering I struggled to sit on the loo... Also Glute DOMS! I want a padded loo seat!

No, the plan is to foam roller them before, then squat, and use the benefit of the smith machine not using a huge amount of stabilisation to my advantage :D

There is no such thing as benefiting from squatting in a smith machine, it compromises your position and the movement itsself. Dont do it. Drop the weight a little if you really have to, but dont squat in a smith.

Yes, we've been over this :p

Fail gym has no power rack, and I spent some time talking to ice about form due to limitations of smith.

It's surprisingly simple, just the fact it doesn't turn your core to jelly anymore makes me sad :(

Pretty much exactly the same as my gains on SS after three months. What do you weigh? I can't wait to reach 140kg for reps :D

The simplicity of the workouts definitely helps me though.. I will. Almost ready to join the 300kg club and hoping to join the 400kg club by the end of the year.

I'm 6ft2 and currently weigh 80kg. I can't wait to hit triple figures on the squat and bench. So close to the squat target! :)

Oh my dear lord i'm soo sore.
Got in early today went for a 10k jog, took me over 70 mins so nothing fast.
Got showered and changed into gym clothes and took all my supplements before walking to gym.
10 k jog and the fact that i have been at it 6 days a week last 2 weeks tired me out so only did 10 mins on cross trainer and didn't do any hiit after workout but smashed my biceps, triceps, shoulders and abs pretty good.

On the way home i picked up a 450g packet of italian style pasta from lidl.
Been cutting carbs to under 20g a day most days and so it tasted epic.
750 calories for the pasta and all my shakes takes me to 1400 cals.
