It's worse when it makes the soles of your feet itch! Luckily that side effect normally wears off after a few doses.

My training partner decided to quickly shoot my 5th set just before I left the gym tonight. After the chest session I wanted to include some dips so conducted a med/heavy weight 5x5 to finish things up- as it was last set it’s to failure.

Granted it’s on the 5th set and I’m pretty much exhausted and they are really, really poor depth on the dips (enough of the lame excuses) it’s pretty cool to analyse form post workout or lack of!

So 50kg dips at 70kg b.w

Nice to know it's not only my gym that plays that god awful "music".

i rarely take much interest in what music the gym is playing, in my home gym i just stick it on kiss fm.

there was one time, im thinking the system had either broken down or was being upgraded or what not, that they decided a ghetto blaster positioned right beside the treadmills on full blast would be a great idea.

that's probably the only time i had wished there was no music or a little quieter.

nothing worse than a deadly silent gym.

I've joined a fairly quiet local gym at the moment but when I went to Uni at Newcastle I joined Goldstar in Heaton. It was a proper bodybuilder's gym and was massive. As soon as you hit the doors you'd hear the clanging and roars of someone in the background deadlifting. Just hearing that always got us fired up for the workout.

By contrast now I train at 9am and I'm the only guy in the gym. I'm just greeted by a row of school-run mums on the treadmills and the sound of the air-con. Don't give them a second look, I'm there to train! :D
