Out of interest.....who is on your block list?
Them feels when on someones ignore list
how do you ignore people? If I'd known about this you'd be on another ignore list!
You are one audacious chap; I give you my word and solemn oath that I am going to inflict physical damage on you, and in doing so i pledge that it will be done so be the existence of my mother!
Troll.
To be fair, I read Indie's response and had to stop my forehead hitting the keyboard.
If Indie and opeth actually go and see a decent physio, they will realise that most of their own treatment measures are either pointless or an expensive waste of everybody's time.
Indie: check the mobility thread. If you have patellar tendonitis, you probably have biiiiiiiiig mobility problems. Sort them out and your body will thank you.
I'm just going by what Doctors have told me etc... Its really the only injury I've ever carried so its something I've never had to research it like some (going by the comments, MOST) of you have/do
What makes their treatment measures pointless/waste of time?.. not asking to be awkward or anything, I just want to know as I'd like my knees fixed and if professional help ins't getting me there then I want to know why!
I mean, so far everything they have done seems to be doing the trick, its a LOT better than it was before I started all the treatments.
Do you have a link to the mobility thread so I can read through? If you have any specifics you think I should be looking at then feel free to point me in the right direction!
From my personal experience across both a number of my own visits and visits friends and family have been through, GPs and doctors (that I have been subjected to) know very little about muscle pain or its origins. Amusingly, this was confirmed by my sister-in-law, who is also a GP.
I also know that there are useless physios who are too comfortable easing old people into and out of chairs to actually understand that somebody wants to FIX their issue. Hence there are good and bad physios... and I am lucky enough to have a very good one.
A decent physio is worth their weight in gold (yes, they can cost a lot of money) because of the stupid waiting, bad treatment and prolonged misery that GPs and the NHS can inflict upon people who are not carrying one of their limbs.
I'm not going to give medical advice (because that's against the rules) but I would STRONGLY suggest you and Opeth find yourself decent physiotherapists who work with sports people on a regular basis.
EDIT: The search button is up there (top and to the right... ).
First page, dude!

Think of it this way: a doctor's job is to either treat an individual or refer them. You - the patient - are there to be treated by the doctor. If the doctor is unsure and refers you on, or thinks pain relief will resolve it, what are you - as the non-expert - going to do about it?
Most people do not question doctors enough, or investigate their issues or seek second opinions. Why should you, I suppose? Because it's your body. Your pain. Your isolation. Your quality of life... or lack of it.
Don't get me wrong: if I have a persistent cough or something, I will be in front of my GP (eventually), but for muscle/joint pain? Physio every time.
Its still not showing up on my search, so strange... but Thank you as you have now so kindly linked it.
Yes I suppose your right, Thanks for making me see a different side to it. A side which I probably wouldn't have even thought about otherwise.
Onward and upward to the mobility thread! Thank you for the advice! No doubt I'll be back for more afterwards!
